CONFUSION IN COMPARING AMSHAS RESULT AND AVASTHA RESULTS

Namaste jyotihis, i have one query in astrology about avasthas and

amshas. if suppose jupiter in cancer in rashi chart with 3 degree. then

i t is said to be in mritavastha, but on other hand it can be said in

vargottam navansha. according to standard texts a mritavasta planet

gives bad result and vargottam planet gives good result. so iam

confused in deciding that how to compare these results quantitavely

or qualitatively. please answer it. thanks,
