Happy New Year!

April 13th, 2009!

Yep that's right! The `true' New year is rapidly

approaching. On April 13th of

each year the almighty Sun moves to the 1st degree of Aries. This is the true beginning of the year and

should be celebrated as the true "New Year"!

So, let's do it.

This last month, as the Sun was

moving through Pisces, this was a perfect energy to end the year with. Pisces is very reflective, expansive and

liberating. I've learned over the years

what a nice energy that is to end the year on.

We normally celebrate the New Year

on January 1st, but this typically winterish, and inward energy is

not the right time to start the new year!

So, we can start a new, `old' trend,

and welcome in the true New year on April 13!

On the same day, we can also welcome

in the Sun's movement into Aries which is the sign that is the Sun's `best' or

Exalted sign.

You have three final days to reflect

on the entire last year for yourself and then the Sun will plunge into Aries,

whether you're ready or not.

Sun is Exalted in Aries, which makes

it such an ideal energy for New Beginnings.

During this Exalted Sun in Aries

month, resolve to take maximum advantage of this time for yourself.

Think about `all' that you want to

do and accomplish during this up-coming next year or 12 months.

Make your New Year's Goals and

resolutions.

You'll find yourself with much more

powerful, `Aries' doing and accomplishing energy, drive and even stamina during

this month.

You'll also find yourself with a

much stronger, `Sun will' during this time.

And, as they say, "Where there's a

will, there's a way". This month the Sun

demonstrates the power and potential of the Self, Sun will.

Watch and see if your internal Sun

`light' and will aren't stronger and more dynamic. This is the Sun's Exalted energy in Aries.

Exalted Sun

&

Waning Moon

One thing to watch however, is that

the Moon will be waning for the first two weeks of the Sun's Exaltation. This will make the Sun's Exaltation "feel"

less powerful and outward, but this is only due to the Moon's waning energy.

If you allow yourself to be more

inward, as befits the waning Moon cycle anyway, and allow the Sun's brilliance

and power to wash over you, than all good can come from this wonderful time.

Here's hoping you have a great Happy

New Year, and the beginning of a glorious NEW, next year!

Jai Surya!

Dear Mark,NAMASTEWhat you write is true, but let us not forget the transit from WATER TO FIRE.the initial degrees in Aries are not easy to deal with.Same goes for the last 3 degrees in Pisces. Some of us did feel the roughness of the transit.Once the Sun settles down things will be smoother. wishing everyone a BRIGHT month BEAM TOGETHER rhoda
