Guest guest
Dear Mark and all: I am trying to find the exact date of Shivaratri in the US, or anywhere. If Shivaratri is the 14 day from the Full Moon in February , it would be Feb 22 in the US, but I thought Shivaratri was the dark moon (the night before the new moon). This would be Monday night, February 23 (in the US) before the new Aquarius Moon on Tuesday, February 24, I think in Shatabishak ruled by Rahu. If Shivaratri is Sunday night (Feb 23) the Moon would move from Shravna, ruled by the Moon, to Dhanistha, ruled by Mars, and be new in Shatabishak ruled by Rahu on Feb 24. At 9 PM EST on Monday, Feb 23, the Moon enters Aquarius (Dhanistha-Mars). It is significant to me to know whether the Moon is in Capricorn or Aquarius for Sivaratri. I have certainly felt the intensity of the 'planetary war' with the Moon's entry into Capricorn today and look forward to the time when there is less planetary intensity in Capricorn since it an angle and maraka house for me. The waning lunar cycle has not been too positive since I have been sick with severe cold beginning on the the Full Moon and this week may have lost a major source of work and income. I do sense that debilitated Jupiter is losing the planetary war and that Rahu - Mars are `winning.' But I read there is a Vedic astrology yoga (astroved.com) called 'Neecha Banga Raja Yoga' (Neecha means debilitation, Banga means cancellation, Raja Yoga is fortune yoga) …[that] brings forth powerful conditions which cancel out the debilitation and make the debilitated planets very powerful. This Neecha Banga Raja yoga exists currently between Mars and Jupiter until March 7, 2009 and is supposed to strengthen finances. Can you interpret this yoga, Mark? Wishing everyone Shiva's blessings on Shivaratri. Janna Satyam Shivam Sundaram Namah Sivaya
