It was a pity that for some reason the formatting came through in such a way that it was difficult to follow easily Dear Rohini: So sorry to hear that. I'm sending a response here, via the group instead. Hopefully that'll be better. However the bulk of your writing seemed to be addressing the question, " Does jyotish work? " . That was never the question or issue. We all know that already and even after a few years of sincere study that becomes very apparent. That is why people stay with jyotish as long as 22 years in your case and even longer in many other cases :-) That said, there was a somewhat confusing piece which I quote below: " Now, 38 years of meditation and 22 years of practicing Jyotish have > improved my Moon so much I can't even recognize myself. > > I'm > not that shy, overly sensitive, vulnerable person emotionally! > > Our charts do fit us. " I am sure you would notice the controversy in your presentation! On the one hand you are saying that people do fit their classical chart description but at the same time you are saying that people can change with remedies, yoga, meditation etc. What I was trying to give expression to here was the fact that #1 Our charts really do fit us. So, my chart when I was young really did fit the classic descriptions of the malefic ness of my Moon. On the other hand, astrology is also about self-development and self-improvement. Therefore, practicing Yogic and meditation remedies and then 22 years of Jyotish, literally changed by chart! And this is my point. Not only our charts about our beginnings but about how and where we're supposed to improve ourselves, If we don't do Jyotish remedies then we will very likely repeat the gloom and doom of our original birth charts. But, predictions for me, based on my original birth chart do not affect me nearly as negatively as in the past. By that what I am understanding is that people can change, despite what their classical chart descriptions indicate! A shy person's birthchart will not change but he or she can outgrow the shyness that would be the classical description for the chart! Yes. sort of. We can change any of the malefic situations in our charts. A so-called shy person's birth chart will not change, on paper, but their chart inside; or their nervous system, their personality, mind set, even emotional nature can improve! I think that is the general assumption and hope of such groups like Jyotish Remedies here. But thanks for trying to address the issue that is certainly not easy...! Best wishes, RR You're very welcome. It's not only difficult to describe because the whole, most recent history of Jyotish like other vedic sciences is riddled with too much fatalism. My Guru, in fact, used to say: " If Jyotish was only about predicting the dangers on the horizon, then it might be better to not know what was coming. " Therefore, astrology is all about helping us change our trends of time and becoming the un-developed person that's there inside of our charts.
