Guest guest
Transits, Dasas & Our Charts New Project: Lhynn’s question today got me thinking about the importance of remembering that at all times we’re all experiencing just 3 main aspects of our astrology. #1 we’re experiencing our charts! Our charts represent our mind and body, our personality, emotions, physiology or total human nature. At the same time we’re also experiencing our Dasas & Transits. As to how much of our experience is related to our Charts, Dasas vs. our Transits; this depends upon our charts and particular Transits and Dasas that we’re running. In other words, the exact percentage of influence differs from person to person. So, it’s always a good idea to figure out what kind of person are you? Are you a 50% chart, 25% Dasas and 25% Transit person? Or, are you a 40% chart, 20% Dasas and 40% Transit person? Or, are you a 33% chart, 33% Dasas and 33% Transit perons? Also, at different times you’ll find that depending upon the transits and dasas you will feel their different influences differently. The best way to use this knowledge is to #1….. FIGURE OUT WHAT YOUR EXPERIENCE IS TELLING YOU! Is it coming from the day’s transits? Or is it a deeper effect, perhaps transpiring over a number of months, even years? This happens all the time when people contact me about a certain frustration or challenge going on in their lives. The first thing I do is ask: “How long has this been going on?” And, depending upon what they say I can glimpse whether it’s a Dasa or Transit phenomena that they’re presently going through. Then, once we’ve determined whether they’re suffering due to a recent shift in Dasas or Transits, then we can develop a strategy of treatment to minimize the difficulty or take maximum advantage of the benefic time! Take the example of this lady I talked to just yesterday. She’s been in her Saturn Maha Dasa period since 1998. Since then, her father passed away, she got divorced, had a huge tree fall on her house; and experienced many very different kinds of experiences since she was in her Jupiter period. And those experiences corresponded quite precisely with her chart where her Saturn was in a malefic way in her 7th house of marriage whereas her Jupiter was in a much more benefic status in her 10th house of career. I’ll give you another example. Last night I got this big headache. My normal first reaction is to check the transits. The Moon had moved away from Saturn’s direct influence of the day before, so I couldn’t blame Saturn! Hehe Then, I looked at my Dasas and I’m presently running Saturn, Jupiter, Venus, so I couldn’t find any obvious reason why I got my headache. Then, it occurred to me. ‘Well, dah, I worked so much on my computer today, and ignored the head pressure that was coming later in the day, until boom, it blossomed into a big headache.’! So, it’s not too difficult to figure out whether what we’re going through is due to our Charts, Dasas or Transits. The only thing we need is an up-to date version of our charts so we can figure it out! I make a page periodically of my chart, what Dasas I’m presently running and the most significant transits that are presently going on. Then, I find I can take best advantage of what the present moment is all about. The next thing once we’ve identified the ‘reason’ why we’re going through what we’re going through; the next thing is to figure out what we can do about it! This is where the philosophy of Benefices and Malefics becomes important. Once we identify where our experiences are coming from and whether we’re experiencing something wonderful (ie. Benefices) or frustrating, (Malefic) then we can deal with it in such a way that we take maximum advantage! Over the next period of time, I’d be willing to look at a number of your experiences and we can do exactly this! Whatever you’re going through, whether positive or negative; let’s see if we can: #1 Figure out where it’s coming from in your chart and #2 Identify whether it’s a malefic or benefic experience, and then, #3 What to do about it! To take maximum advantage! When writing in, do one thing for me. Write down your total date of birth, and what 3 main levels of Dasas that you’re presently running. Then, we can figure out how to use this great knowledge for more success in life! Guest guest
Dear Mr. Mark, Let me tell you how I approach the 'inferences' over years in reading and finding a particular 'result' in a chart in Astrology. Almost the chart comes to my hand, first, I see the accuracy of the chart 'construction' and I find the mental strength of the person to receive the 'message' and how strong he/she is in accepting that, and possible level of understanding. This gives me the clue, how much I should 'frame' in words, or 'moderate' the results, yet communicative to him/her to one's satisfaction on the subject. 2. I take the strengths and positions of all Planets in birth chart with help of all charts prepared and for the purpose of finding solution of the 'problem' placed before me. 3. Then how these Planets are inter-woven between them to create a gradation of 'influence' towards the problem in a given time, under Astrology rules recommended by various authors etc, and practiced as now, and assess the timing of that 'influence' in my experience. 4 Once this is clearly defined and listed, I enter into the 'Gochara" - transition- of Planets at given time, date, and the combination leads to the related subject in hand. Here there are two distinct level of 'power' of planets - one originally in the Birth Chart and the one in the position and aspect while in occupation by the respective planets. Then the period of transit it gains/loses its path, power and aspect. While one movement of Planet is 'assessed' in transit with its 'values' to cause an event, I take the assessed transit values of other Planets too. This exactly leads to a result of event to happen with 'cause and result' deductions. Then take the 'result' to the main frame of birth chart 'assessment' and relate the event with Desa Bukti Anthara, Sukshama (possibly dissect further) to the minute 'inference' of 'result'. 5. If the given Data is correct, in most cases we reach such accuracy that we cannot be far away from 'truth' 6. Now the talent of the astrologer is to word them carefully to the details under item 1. above. I may add, Sir, I do not believe or ever recommended the ritual 'compensations' as I firmly believe, if the above deduction arrived to point its finger to definite 'Path' and it is only for me to 'light' that path and show the client - 'Jothish'-, and I believe that the results of Astrology is common to all born in this world. I will be deeply obliged if I could have your further guidance for improvement/correction in these.
