Best wishes for the both of you. > Joyce Dear Joyce: Thank you so very much for your warm sentiments. I've thought for a long time that my mother might pass during my Sade Sat. And ever since Saturn went into Leo her health has been deteoriated. 2 weeks ago I rushed up to Chicago because she had to be admitted to the hospital. She survived this scare and after spending a few days with her in the hospital and then at her home we had a healing unlike any time in our whole lives. As I was preparing to come back home she pulled me aside and said: " Mark, in case I don't survive this next chemo treatment... " Thus, began the most in-depth and meaningful discussion I think I've ever had with my mother. Looking back now, I realize that Saturn's true lessons, Saturn and Sun recently colliding, especially on the New Moon. In fact even Sade Sat periods are designed by God so that we have a great aha, and actually get closer. Though Jupiter's influence is to get closer to life, to God, to all, through grace, good luck and fortunate things happening to us. Saturn's influence is to help us get closer to life, to God and to all others, through loss, through isolation, through aloneness, through dis-ease, disease and death. This is why Sani has the terrible reputation that he has. Though now I realize this sentiment is ill-founded because when one has some hardship, it's really true what they say: " what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger..... " So, thank you again. Fortunately, Jyotish has taught me these many wonderful things. Now, I know that my mother passing on is the most glorious time for her and for us. It represents her ascension. It represents her graduation, her release, her end of this trial of a life in these tiny bodies. She's done a remarkable job raising 6 kids, standing by one man, her husband, in this life. And, with an Exalted Mars and Jupiter in Pisces in her chart she's quite a courageous and heroic person. I will of course miss her, but as when my father passed in 1995, after he left the body he came to me and told me how proud he was of me. That made me in fact, closer to him, then any time when he was alive. Thus, Sani teaches us all about life though not in the forms that we're prepared for. So, if we can adjust to Sani's lessons and handiworks, then great good and progress can come out of all dire and challenging situations. Jai Sani!
