Guest guest
Dear Mark, Thanks for the advise. The one question I still have is should I stick with the same mantra I learned in 1992 during my TM initiation (which I believe is a seed mantra calling forth Sarasvati (goddess of arts and learning) or is it OK to switch mantras to the seed mantra of Shrim (calling forth the goddess of Lakshmi, (goddess of wealth) since of my dire financial position?Dear John: I'd definitely continue with your original mantra from your TM technique. The Maharishi has not just picked good mantras but he's revived the natural effortless ness in which we should all be meditating and transcending.Other mantras may be done with specific effects in mind but TM is especially practicedfor developing the entire brain physiology or consciousness.Transcending meditation will expand the mind and consciousness which will be good forstrengthening all the planets. However, in addition to the holistic experience of TM we can utilize other Vedic remedieslike Jyotish and Ayurveda to make specific improvements as well. When someone goes to a doctor and has, say a boil, a good doctor will recomend changeing the diet which will get to the real heart of the problem. However, he will alsorecomend dealing with the problem, (boil) on the level of the problem as well.TM is a kind of inner, holistic solution. When supplemented by other vedic remedies, great progress can be made in life moving through and transforming all of our malefics;also, into strengths! This is the essence of real Jyotish or Astrology; our self-improvement!Sincerely,Mark K. I understand the importance of learning the lessons of Rahu. If you could answer this question about the mantras I would greatly appreciate it. You were trained as an initiator of TM, right? Thanks again, John Delicious ideas to please the pickiest eaters. Watch the video on AOL Living.
