CharpentierDear John: Rahu is said to represent desires. As a result when out of balance, Rahu is oftenassociated with such desires as obsessions, compulsions and addictions. So, if you're trying to figure out if Rahu is acting malefically in your chart, and especially towardsVenus, (due to it's 5th house aspect) then you ask yourself if you do experience especiallycompulsions, obsessions and addictions especially related to Venus, sex, relationships, love, etc. On the other hand, if Rahu is balanced or a benefic force in one's life then it's nature and affectswill be one's of deep silence and effortless fulfillment of desires without strain or imbalance. What is it like for you?Sincerely,Mark Kincaid> > Dear John: Please include your date of> birth info and your Jyotish rising sign and I'll> answer your> question.> > > Sincerely,> > > Mark Kincaid> > > > > The year's hottest artists on the red carpet at the Grammy Awards. Guest guest
Dear Mark, Thanks for the advise. The one question I still have is should I stick with the same mantra I learned in 1992 during my TM initiation (which I believe is a seed mantra calling forth Sarasvati (goddess of arts and learning) or is it OK to switch mantras to the seed mantra of Shrim (calling forth the goddess of Lakshmi, (goddess of wealth) since of my dire financial position? I understand the importance of learning the lessons of Rahu. If you could answer this question about the mantras I would greatly appreciate it. You were trained as an initiator of TM, right? Thanks again, JohnDelicious ideas to please the pickiest eaters. Watch the video on AOL Living.
Guest guest
Dear John:The 'best' thing one can do in life is to learn to follow the dictates, knowledge and wisdomthat's within our charts! The 'answer' to everyone's challenges is a personal and highly individual solution. For each one of us is living a specific and unique astrological reality that is the real, underlying reality. The extent to which you know yourself through your chart, you'll find yourself living all thosedetails!Contained within those details is not only a description of what your strengths and weaknesses are; but especially what we should be doing about it!Therefore, since you've found the description of Rahu in your first house an accurate one, then, yes, do say no to any kinds of addictions, compulsions and obsessions. However, learning to do this is as important as knowing this is a pattern for you. And, yes, stick with your TM. Transcendental Meditation is probably the most powerfulmeditation technique taught in the world today!TM takes the mind to that field of consciousness which is beyond the stars! Therefore, the best chance to grow beyond the restrictions and negativities of our chartsis to expand our mind's and potential! In addition to regular meditation practice, then, add the supplemental technique of studying your Jyotish and gaining knowledge and wisdom from it, too. What we're discussing now is what I like to call Vedic Psychology. As you learn to #1 understand and utilize your Benefic strengths and #2 understandand literally, transform your malefics, also into strengths; then you will be doing the lifethat you were born to be!So, try this one suggestion, and make some effort to conquer Rahu and let me know ifthings improve!Rahu, they say acts like Saturn so balance Rahu like you would an out of balance Saturn.Take more rest. Take better care of yourself. Follow your experiences and whenever youfeel the unmistakable signs of Rahu, then, let go of them and settle into silence!Good luck!Mark KincaidJai Guru! Also antidepressants, anxiety medication and stimulant medication from a M.D. Financial picture is a disaster. When in 1995 I stopped smoking, and coffee and didn.t take any medication I was financially sound--new house for my wife and 3 daughters, new cars, etc. When in 200 I started smoking again, then caffeine, the pills from M.D. (to counteract other vices)? all trouble seemed to start. Quit job for new employer. I have been a mortgage originator since 1985 and this is the worst possible year. Am resorting back to part-time carpentry jobs-but am still facing foreclosure, unable to make ends meet, etc. Complete misery on financial front. Have been doing remedies as suggested by SATVA by Prof. Chourdry but aren't helping much. I guess I should try to stop all addictions at once. Also I have been practicng TM since 1992 (learned in Miami,Fla). With all addictions T.M. is not producing results like it always did naturally. Should I stick with original Mantra (which I think is a seed mantra for Sasasvati) or is it O.K. to switch to a mantra which is a seed mantra for Lakshmi for material blessings(SHRIM-pronounced SHREEM)? What is your advise? Any hope for future. My main concern is to give my family a good living and get out of debt and enjoy prosperity like I used to. My financial position is at its worst and is affecting all concerned. Of course it will be hard to stop taking everything at once but I will have to try. Any suggestions? Any words of advise would be greatly welcomed and appreciated. Sincerely, John Delicious ideas to please the pickiest eaters. Watch the video on AOL Living.
