Mark,One feels better when waxing starts, mood gets

upbeat. However there is a belief that the moon is actually

stronger from from the 11th day, or Ekadasi of Bright Lunar Half

through the 5th day, or Panchami of Dark Lunar Half, or Krishna Pakshaand weaker from the 6th day, of Dark Lunar Half through the New

Moon day. What are the views here?ThanksKitsDear Kits: Yes, you're right. Jyotish, traditionally

describes the waxing and waning of the Moon in just such ways.

Practical experience, too shows for many people that their emotional

experience does goes in these up and down sort of ways. But, Jyotish,

typically goes too far in suggesting that there's something inherently

wrong with the waning cycle or New Moon type of days. Jyotish,

unfortunately, has forgotten that all of nature has a purpose. The

waxing cycle is a great, enjoyable time to do and accomplish. But,

the waning cycle is NOT a bad, or evil time, a curse as if, nothing to be

done about it.When, you watch yourself as the Moon waxes and wanes

you'll find that these two great cycles represent a very powerful cycle of

rest and activity for our entire world. As the Moon wanes you'll

notice that you too feel less energy and positive mood. But, this

shift is about going more inward and resting! If you allow

yourself to 'be' with this better interpretation of the nature of this

cycle you'll in fact, stop feeling bad or low mood and can feel

exceptional during every moment of the Moon's wanings! The waning

cycle is just an inward, resting or healing time!If you allow this

cycle to go on within you, you'll be able to turn around most every

negative or unhappy moment! It's like saying going to bed and

sleeping is the dark nite of the soul!NO! Sleep time is a

cessation of the normal, happy, doing times of the day. But, there is

a deep importance to the night. This is where we sleep and renew

ourselves! If we don't do this, staying up late, not liking to go to

bed and take advantage of this time, then all kinds of psyco-physiological

dis-eases and unhappiness comes. But, if we take maximum advantage of

this cycle then we feel renewed and surcharged, ready for whatever comes

the next day! There is an expression in the yoga

philosophy: " Rest is the basis of activity " !This is true each night and day and also during strategic days of each

month and year. The transits and cycles of all the planets are all

about different cycles of rest and activity.Retrograde motion for

example, is alot like the waning Moon. If you rest that part of you

that corresponds with that planet then you'll feel immediately better and

then renewed.Watch the next Mercury retrograde motion and instead of

thinking of it as negative or malefic use that time to be more easy with

your intellect and decision makings!EnjoyMark Kincaidfounder Nature's Astrologywww..com

Mark, this is indeed true, the mood swings and happiness

index shooots up! as waxing starts. M Kits

Dear M Kits: Glad to hear your experience. When I

learned to watch the transits, just everything; all the rules, all the

principles of Jyotish became alive to me. You can see in the every

day transits all the rules like aspects, conjunctions, etc.

What was your direct experience this last Waning & then Waxing

Moon?

Sincerely,Mark Kincaidfounder Nature's Astrologywww.naturesastrolog y.com
