Guest guest
Dear Friends: Today and yesterday seems to be a good example of both the influence of planets colliding together and planets aspecting each other. Yesterday,Moon was very close to Jupiter which was a very sweet and positive influencewhile today the Moon, still in Sagittarius is moving across the simultaneously moredifficult influence of Ketu, Saturn and Mars..Thought you might like to hear about this.Sincerely,Mark Kincaid The Stars Within Transits newsletter December 11, 2007 Conjunctions & Aspects Moon’s Passage Through Sagittarius, now Today, I was realizing is a good example of the difference between conjunctions and aspects in astrology. Yesterday and today the Moon’s been moving through Sagittarius according to the Jyotish system of calculating the planets. This month, now, Jupiter has also made its move into Sagittarius as well. So, in terms of conjunction Moon and Jupiter are supposed to be really happy together whenever their within the same 30 degrees of each other. And you could really feel it in the air yesterday. There was this palatable sweetness, ease and flow going on. Everything in my day went superbly. In the early day the Moon collided with the 4th degree of Sagittarius where coincidently Jupiter is right now and the whole day seemed to be dominated by this very positive Jupiterish kind of feeling. This month and year however, there are a lot of simultaneous aspects also upon Sagittarius which also influences strongly the normally positive co-existence of the Moon and Jupiter within the same sign. This month and year, Ketu’s moved into Leo where its 5th House aspect is supposed to be affecting Sagittarius. Counting Leo as #1, go Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio and #5 Sagittarius. Ever since Ketu moved into Leo this last November 8th of 2006 we’ve been all experiencing these new Ketu aspects. This is most clear when the Moon either goes through Leo where Ketu is or moves through Sagittarius which is where Ketu’s 5th house aspects is supposed to be aspecting. Jyotish also has a rule of “carrying influence”. For example Ketu is in Leo fully aspecting Sagittarius. However, Saturn is also in Leo this month and year so Jyotish says the planets will carry with them and their aspects or influences any other positive or negative planets or forces that are close to them. This has meant then that Ketu would be carrying Saturn’s influence with it as well as casting its own. This means the intensity of Ketu’s influence upon the Moon is even more dramatic because of Sani's close proximity. Add on top of this the fact that Mars is opposite to Sagittarius in the sign of Gemini and today is a wildly intense day. Today, Tuesday, the Moon started out about the 14th degree in Sagittarius. If you pay attention to the specific degrees of the planets while they’re aspecting you can’t help but realize that the Moon would be coming within both Sani’s influence (at the 14th degree in Leo) and Mars which is at the 13:40 degree of Gemini. In the , today, there’s a huge snow and ice storm goings on. This outer drama seems quite appropriate to the inner drama which is also going on. So, watch the details of the Transits and you will see being lived all the fascinating rules and principles of Jyotish alive and happening in the world.
