Saturn aspects the third house from it> (counting where it & #39;s at as house 1). So is this aspect considered a> sextile (which is beneficial), or is it more like a conjunction since> it & #39;s carrying it & #39;s energy to the planets 3 houses away from it? > Conjunctions are challenging...how do we read this?> Thanks.Hi Pinki: Yes, Saturn does aspect the 3rd house away from where it is. So, Saturn in Leotoday, aspects the 3rd house away, Libra. (counting Leo, Virgo and Libra, #3)....Ah, sextile is a western term and beneficial or negative just depends on how balanced Saniis in one's chart. So, if someone has a Sani in it's own sign or exalted and it's influence is " benefic " then the aspects of transiting saturn also can be positive.Typically however, Saturn has negative aspects since for most people Saturn is more a malefic then positive. But, like every planet Saturn too is meant to be improved. The way to tell whether Saturn or any planet is acting negatively is to see if the negative effects are there. So, when the Moon goes into Leo, or LIbra, or 7 houses away Aquarius or 10 houses awayTaurus, the thing I've noticed is do people experience the negative sides of Saturn during these days or the positive. If someone is out of tune with Saturn then things like impatience, delays and disappointments come during Saturn transits. If however, one is more in-tune with Saturn then one may feel more silence and bliss duringsuch Saturn transits.Hope this helps.Mark Kincaidfounder Nature's Astrologywww..com>
