Guest guest
Dear MarkDear SeethaRamaKrishnan:Sorry it's taken me so long to get back with you. I've been swamped these last 2 months working on my book. Yes. But finally it is a question freeing oneself from one's self-image. The question of benefic, malefic all belong to self-image. If we dont interfere with the arising of benefic or malefic tendencies and just allow them to come and go, the background of being manifests and we are immediately in touch with the reality of pure consciousness. When we know that this is the only resting place and scattering energy in all other directions only takes us away from this, then the stability of staying in the resting place increases. As this increases the futility of thought oriented solution for fulfillment weakens and thereby the self-image also weakens and it obstructs less and less one's pure nature. As far as 'self-image' goes I find it helpful to consider that the mind itself is an imagecreating reality. And since this is partly where we live I think it's helpful to talk in termsof benefic or malefic forces. My own experience leads me to realize that the benefics in us represent where we'rethe most in-tune with nature and where " Reality " is the strongest. Reality is of coursethe uncreated, non-image pure consciousness. But, since pure consciousness created this universe of light which are all images it'shelpful to learn how to find liberation within this life. The reason I asked a question based on my horoscope is also a part of self-image. But it is a momentary aberration only because the transformation that the solution does not lie with thought has already happened and so how much ever the mind tries to go outwards, since it has seen the beauty of the effortless inner stillness it comes back quickly and stays in its resting place. When even the momentary aberrations stop happening then perhaps one lives a totally impersonal life. One can find ultimate solution by yes, transcending thought or self-image but also what Astrology focus on in terms of the mind or the planets does help us become liberated if that is the goal of our present incarnation. The most important insight is that the thinker has to dissolve. ie Not giving energy to the thinker (meaning the reaction) but rather allowing it to manifest fully without altering it. And when this happens the thinker weakens. I am just pouring out my own observations and nothing else :-) Regards srkBeautiful description of how the mind has to be transcended for the thinker to find liberation and peace. But, once having found that inner space when one comes back to the world one stillcan remain intact with the Self.then God's astrological universe will be completely viewed as just a play of Cosmic light and vibration. However, I find astrology extremely helpful especially in those areas where I or othersare the most stuck. These, coincidently do correspond with those so-called maleficsin our charts... ----- Original Message ----- markkincaid SeethaRamaKrishnan Cc: Sent: Friday, May 04, 2007 12:11 PM Subject: 2-SeethaRamaKrishnan: ...Re: Hi - Astro Question;Moksha 5/4 Thanks a lot Mark. Yes your interpretation of malefics agrees in actuality with my chart. The malefics does indicate some attachments. But anyway nowadays the tide is flowing more inwards perhaps due to Jupiter Dasa and hope the inward alignment will completely stabilize during Saturn period. Thanks again SeetharamakrishnanDear Seetharamakrishnan: I asked one of my meditation teachers one time what wasthe most important quality for gaining enlightenment and you know what he said? " Desire...... desire for enlightenment..... " At the time I was deeply struck by this asI didn't have a lot of confidence that I could attain such a thing but I knew one thing...I knew I could desire for it...And that's what I did....and with each year rushing by as long as I got my meditationsin I felt I had achieved a lot....in the field of liberation...Then, I found Jyotish and it became like a rocket booster for me, rushing me forwardeven more...With our Jyotish we get a chance to stop doing those (malefic) things which are notreally helpful for our lives....Jai GuruMark Kincaid ----- Original Message ----- markkincaid SeethaRamaKrishnan Cc: Thursday, May 03, 2007 10:22 PM 2-SeethaRamaKrishnan: ...Re: Hi - Astro Question;Moksha Hi Mark I saw your nice article in Audarya about Saturn and its benefic influence of taking us inward. I posted the question below in Audarya but no one has replied. Could you please answer this question ? Indications for MokshaHi Seetha....The first thing that jumps out at me in this chart regarding Moksha orspirituality is the Jupiter / Moon connection. The Moon's in Virgo, butit is opposite to Jupiter which is in Pisces, one of Jupiter's best signs. This is classified as a Jyotish Yoga indicative of a very spiritual person.#2 Jupiter itself is in Pisces, it's Own Sign which is another sign of spirituality.#3 Finally, Saturn, the other main planet with Jupiter, which are the two main planets of spirituality; is also strong, in it's Own sign of Capricorn. So, good spiritual inclinations are there. In addition to our charts beingindicative of our spiritual natures, our charts are also indicative of the unique spiritual paths that we're all on. Also, we can see especially what obstacles and hinderances might be therein our search for liberation.Jyotish has this wonderful idea of Benefices and Malefics which not onlydescribes our strengths and weaknesses; but the Malefics also show uswhere our main obstacles will be.Then, once we know what our hinderances will be we can focus on eliminating or transforming our Malefics!Hope this helps.Mark KincaidHi Thanks.
