Guest guest
Re: 2-All: Here's a webaddress and picture of Sani! Thanks Mark I'd forgotten he did this one too. I've got all of his Yantras..AND use his Kali-ma as my desktop Hi Elaine: I tell you one of the coolest things I've done in my Jyotish, Astrology history or study was at some point; wearing the various colors of the planets. So, on Monday, for the Moon I'd wear white, and for Tuesday, being Mars I'd wear something more redish. Those red is definitely not good for me, hehe, with my Mars in the 10th, it tends to make me too hot! hehe Then, I'd wear green for Wednesday and Mercury, then gold for Thursday or Guru, Friday I'd wear something colorful for Venus,... and finally....on Saturday for Sunday, I'd go for something more.... trourquoise, or purple..for Exalted Saturn in Libra! hehehe Oh, yes on Sunday I'd wear something yellow for the Sun! Whatever ways in which we come to understand the importance of these different planets and how they do reflect important parts of our human experience,...are all good ways of growing with our Astrology. See below for more comments... Mark When I lived at the Institute I began doing Yantras with oil pastels. I have no background at all with ANY "creative art",..not sure *what* got "into" me,..but, began, what I've been told, is called "smearing" the oil pastels on handmade (cotton and silk) paper from Nepal, and also have a gold (it has real 14kt gold in it) pen I outlined some of the Yantras with. I got the "instructions" for the Yantras from the MahaNirvana Tantra as well as the Netra Tantra..and a few others..and when I got "stuck" with the language and technicalities would go to either: http://www.shivashakti.com/ or a page at UPenn I'm trying to find..I HAD it bookmarked somewhere... Oh well, I'll find it later. I painted a few too--although, my talents must lie more near "crayons" than a #5 brush . One of these days, when I can afford to restock on supplies, (in other words--when it's time , I'll get back into it again!! Well, sounds like you're be nicely Saturn patient! very good. Saturn is patience, and when we're not patient enough we suffer Saturn's negative side of impatience.... Also, savings is a very little understood part of Saturn. Saturn represents balance...and what it's like to be in-balance or out of balance,... but Saturn also, is strengthened by taking or creating more balance, rest... and for money....saving.....! No wonder saving had such a strange connotation for me growing up. I never really thought of it. And, when my dad tried to get me to save I thought "how quaint and materialistic" of him. But, when my chart taught me that my Saturn was not so good in my 12th and might represent some lack of good Saturn qualities, fairly quickly I got the symbolism that I should develop an appreciation of savings. The very moment that I learned to save, all the previous grief and unhappiness that used to regularly come to me due to both Saturn and my Moon in the 12th....began to go away! That was my first wonderful experience of being able to change Saturn from a malefic into a positive benefic force! Oh, and just FYI; I'm afraid I started WWIII the other night when I decided to try one more time asking my parents about my birthdata. (or their birthdata or my brothers birthdata...) My son says I either need "Divine Intervention" or James Bond to get ANY information from my family. That's funny....! Do you at least know whether you were born in the am, pm or evening hours? That narrows it down to only 2 or 3 different birth time or rising sign choices. Though even if someone had no idea of the time, there are ony 12 charts possible on each 24 hours? So, that narrows it down a lot! hehe Your humor must come from your very good Moon in your chart....! hehe I have an appointment at legal aid concerning a different, but related matter, so I'll ask the attorney if he has any ideas. It seems I don't exist at the Dept. of Vital Statistics in the "area" I'd always been told I was born in, so.... I honestly did NOT want to open this pandoras box...I've known for about 17 years (since my son was born with our "genetic" disorder, that something wasn't right..but De-Nile River runs fast and deep and it's much easier not to "rock the boat". Had things not exploded the other night and they'd just given me ONE date/time/place of SOMEONE--perhaps I could continue to just float along, but...... Just know that rectification is an important part, especially of Jyotish. In India, probably the exact birth time is also not known for a variety of reasons. So, what every good Jyotishee learns is how to rectify one's chart! Ahhh well... even isolating myself in my apt. for over a year, I seem to be able to stir up "drama"--without really even trying. BUT, I also firmly believe that the Mother has things happen, WHEN they happen, for reasons. The belief that things happen for a reason, is sooo Saturnish of you! I find in my Saturn strong friends, that those with better Saturn's, or more dominant, tend to see the pre-determinism aspects of life... whereas my Jupiter, stronger friends tend to emphasize...the more progressive, all possibilities aspect of Jupiter! Peace!! elaine take care Mark ps... We should look at your parents charts some times to determine why there's this tension between you and them... Don't ask them for their times! hehee
