Is Fatima for sure a male? That is usually a

woman’s name. Anyhoo, male or female, the Moon is in the same sign

with 3 malefics if you use the outer planets, which many Vedic astrologers

do not. So, w/o Pluto, there are 2 malefices, Rahu and Mars. Also, Sun

with Saturn can be depressing.

Hi Bettina:Don't know

yet whether male or female. Yes, you're right a number of these

malefic planets can cause depression. So, in addition to working on

one's Moon it might also be a good idea for this person to work on

improving their Saturn's as well.

Another question: is Dundee in

Scotland? No country was given.Yes in Scotland

I have the birth data for 2 people who have been diagnosed with

bipolar disorder, although they present very differently. We’ll

call the first one AF. He was born on May 1, 1967 at 15:30 in

San Francisco, CA, USA. The

second one is a female we’ll call CW. She was born Nov. 23, 1984,

at 2:42 in Walnut Creek, CA,

USA.

In AF's chart looks like his Moon is also suspect.

Moon in the 8th, lord of the 12th in the 6th is a malefic red flag.

Also, Saturn in the 8th is definitely a dangerous situation. Un-fortunately when we have these sorts of cahllenges we don't even realize

what we need. That's why Jyotish is so powerful to try and tech

us about the nature and meaning of our Malefics. Must be frustrating

to him having so many other parts of his nature and chart benefic.

He has Exalted Jupiter, Exalted Sun and Venus in Taurus all of which are

his main Benefices.

I think that the navamsa (9th harmonic) is important in

looking for mental characteristics, too.

Though in AF's navamsa his Moon looks like it's in Cancer

and without any negative aspects.

Bettina

For CW. she too has a weak and

undeveloped Moon being born on the New Moon. Is her time am or

pm? And like Fatima's example of Moon with Rahuthis has an

even more distressing affect on one's Moon.Interesting, though

that her Saturn is Exalted. Does she, however, not take advantage of

this? I've met many Exated Saturn people who end up straining and

not taking good enough care of themselves inspite of their Exalted

Saturn's.Sincerely,Mark Kincaidps...

Have you talked with them about Jyotish or Vedic remedies?

Dear Friends: Here's an interesting discussion

with a young man who was diagonosed with bipolar disorder. Jyotish and

Astrology has such fascinating insights into why we create or get

dis-eases and diseases. Sincerely,

Hello, my name is

developed after a few crisis occurred in my life. in 1998 i was diagnosed with bipolar disorder, high blood pressure and stomach

ulcers. At that time i was in university which i left and i could not join again until last year .Will someone kindly have a look at my chart

and suggest a few remedies? i would be most grateful,

Dear

Fatima:

Diagnosing dis-ease and disease is a very fascinating part of

Jyotish. No system in the world has a better ability to help us

understand the true source of dysfunction.

According to modern day definition, bipolar disorder is defined as:

“Bipolar

disorder (BD) is a type of mood disorder. Bipolar disorder was called

manic depression

in the past, and that term is still used by some people. It is a

psychiatric illness that causes major disruptions in lifestyle and

health.”

This is very helpful identifying the characteristic of the problem

because in the adjectives or characteristics reveals the planet that is

probably responsible.

When I pull up your chart I’m therefore inclined to look for

your Moon. I found your Moon relatively small in Virgo and surrounded by

Malefic influences. Moon’s okay generally in Virgo, but because

your Sun’s in Leo that means you were only born a few days after the

New Moon.

Also, your Moon’s only 3 degrees away from Rahu which is at

the 3rd degree also in Virgo. Also, other Malefics around the

Moon include Mars at the 26th degree of Virgo and Saturn at the

11th degree of Leo.

Another description of bipolar may also help you understand why you

have this.

This disease is

called bipolar disorder because the mood of a person with bipolar disorder

can alternate between 2 completely opposite poles, euphoric happiness and

extreme sadness.

Do you find that, that your emotions are up and down, and overly

sensitive, vulnerable and fragile? This is the classic situation of

Moon’s that are small and malefically

aspected.

Therefore, the solution from the Jyotish point of view is

very simple!

Strengthen your Moon!

There are many techniques of Vedic knowledge and Jyotish that can

be used to help us literally, strengthen our

Moon’s.

For example, my suggestion is #1 that you learn how to

meditate!

Meditation is the #1 remedy for strengthening the Mind and because

the Moon is the mind, Moon’s improve dramatically through

meditation.

I had a similar Moon in my chart when I was born. It’s

interesting that you were born on Sept. 4th. I, too was born

on Sept. 4th though I was born in 1951. Both of us have good

Sun’s and Moon’s in Virgo. My Moon was in my 12th

house and very close to a very negative or malefic functioning

Saturn.

And all of my life I too had a lot of anxiety, shyness, worry and

even depression.

But, when I went to college I first learned how to

meditate.

With each month that I meditated I noticed feeling better and

better and better!

Then, a number of years later I found Jyotish and now, 19 years

later I’ve also learned many wonderful other things we can do to

also improve our Moons.

Moon represents how we nourish and give. So, learning how to

nourish ourselves better is an important part of strengthening the

Moon.

Also, learning to be more in-tune with the every day cycle of the

Moon will help us as well.

I’ve even written an e-remedy report for the Moon that

explores dozens of really wonderful things that one can do to literally

strengthen the Moon.

It only cost $ 5.00 so if you’re interested just let me

know.

Hope this helps you.

Sincerely,

Mark Kincaid
