Mark Kincaid ps...I made it kind of long, so don't let it confuse you. Just take it a step at a time. take care!pss... Remember the Transits have moved to:TodaysDailyWeeklyMonthlyYearlyStarsTransits Introduction to the Art & Science Of the Transits Dear Friends & Subscribers: I have to tell you learning how to watch and understand the Transits in the field of Astrology is one of the most important things I’ve ever learned. When I had been watching the Transits even for a few months, all of a sudden Astrology came alive to me! Now, 19 years later, having run a Jyotish chart for each day’s Transits for at least 365 x 19 years I can say there’s an amazing amount of knowledge and wisdom here! In this Transits Newsletter we’ll learn how to experience the Transits for each one of us. The Transits: Through Your Jyotish Rising Sign The main suggestion is to learn to perceive the ever moving Transits through the precise Rising Sign of your Jyotish birth chart. In other words, find your Jyotish Rising Sign and then follow the Transits newsletters; learning to feel them moving through YOUR CHART! For example, today is March 4th, 2007. Yesterday, last night about 6pm, CST, (Central Standard Time) we had the full heighth of the Full Moon. The Waxing and Waning Moon is at the very heart of each day of the Transits. You should quickly and easily be able to experience that most powerful and dramatic happening in our World of Transiting Astrological forces. You’ll feel the Moon’s movements inside in your heart, in your mind on your feeling level. That is the Moon inside of your self. As you watch the Moon’s gyrations, look inside and see if you can feel it! The Moon’s movements should play out directly on your Moon feeling level as well. If you already know your Jyotish chart and have learned how to feel the Jyotish reality of your chart within, the Transits will be even easier. However, if you’re new to your Jyotish chart, watching the Transits will help you discover your Astrology chart as well. Every month the Moon returns to the same Sign it was in on your birth day chart. That should feel very familiar to you. Also, once a year the Sun returns to the exact Sign and degree that it was in on your original birth day. That too should resonate with you. However, each day of each year the Stars find themselves in different places then in our original birth day. This is because the Sun, Moon and planets of our Solar System travel at different rates. The Sun may return to the exact degree approximately on the same day each year; (Sun returns to those exact degrees of our original birth day on either the day before, after or on our birth day.) The Moon however, is generally in a different sign on each of our Birth days then it was on our original birth day. All the other planets also are found in different Signs and therefore Houses. All these Astrological differences describe the ever fresh and new qualities of our Future. The Transits Astrological Forces Each Day The Transits represent the every day Astrological forces that are the literal, goings on in our World each day and every moment. We live in an Astrological universe, and verrrry few people know this. We know that we live in an Astronomical Universe. Meteorologists even, have been learned enough about our planet’s weather forces to be able to predict what will be happening up to 7-10 days into the future. Imagine if we could guess a month, two or 6 months into the future what the weather will be doing! The Transits is that ancient knowledge that knows how to look a day, month, year or 10 years into the future! This is the one of the greatest knowledge’s of Jyotish and of life itself! Learning how to ‘read’ this precious knowledge is the primary concern of this Transits newsletter. Be simple and just watch! Learn to feel these forces. You’ll get good enough at it that you can then, ‘feel’ these forces moving around. Even a few months of watching and feeling and you’ll develop a keen ability to sense how the Transits are going to be for you and yours! You’ll get so good at this that you’ll be able to help people in your work environment to know what the Astrological forces are for today. For example many people already have a glimmer that the New and Full Moon days are dramatic for a number of reasons. Many, many people in hospitals and police departments experience regularly that people regularly go ‘berserk’ around the New and Full Moons! However, some people are beginning to realize that people’s intellects go a little berserk whenever Mercury is found going Retrograde which is does 2, 3 times a year. These then are only two of the regular Transiting occurrences that happen each week, and month of the year. As more and more people join this group we’ll do more and more Transiting predictions. Right now we’re going to be doing a weekly and monthly Transit’s Reports. Even these two will give you a lot of insight into how the Transits are going to be behaving. As more people join we’ll be able to quickly move into a Daily Transit Report. I’ve found this the most powerful in the past. It’ll come out then, the night before as well as the Weekly report which will come out the Week before. There also, will be a Monthly and Yearly report which will be invaluable as well. The Transits: First Find Your Rising Sign Once you find the Rising Sign in your Birth chart, that’ll help you know the House or the area of your life where the Transits will be moving through. So, if the Full Moon in February has the Sun in Aquarius and the Moon in Leo; there’ll be a big difference between two people who have different Rising Signs. The person who has Leo in the 6th House and Aquarius in the 12thth House and their Aquarius in their 10th House. will experience this Full Moon very differently then the person who has Leo in their 4 After you find your personal Rising Sign my suggestion is that you watch the Moon primarily. The Moon is in many ways the easiest Astrological force to learn to experience. This is because the Moon directly impacts each one of us on our Moon feeling level each moment. When you look inside, look for the Moon on the level of your heart or feeling mind. This is where you feel and intuit. This is different then where you think which is where our Mercury’s are. We think on an intellectual, linear level each moment. Where our thoughts are, the place where they pop into our minds is the level of our Mercury in our minds. Where we ‘feel’ is deeper then where we experience our intellects. As you follow the Moon you’ll become aware of your deeper Moon, feeling level. Transits: Second: Follow the Moon Once you’ve identified your Rising Sign then watch the Moon and see if you can feel it within. The main 4 stages of the Moon’s cycles; Full, ½ Quarter, New and ½ Full Quarters will give you the best idea as watching the Moon. We’ll first focus on these four major stages of the Moon. Then, we’ll talk about what it means to have the Moon gyrating around throughout the rest of the sky. Each month the Moon goes through all 12 Astrological Signs. This means it only spend 2 ½ days in each Sign. You’ll get good enough in watching these Transits that you’ll begin to experience the differences of the Moon in even these different Signs. This, then, will be a tremendous accomplishment in the field of Astrology. Most Jyotishees or Astrologers don’t ever really learn how to perceive so directly the Stars movements. This level of personal experience will immediately give you more knowledge! With this greater ability to perceive you’ll then gain the basis of learning all the Knowledge and Wisdom of Astrology. Each month the Moon then will collide with all the other Planets. There are in Astrology some planets that are called Natural Benefices in their relationship with the Moon. Some others are called Natural Malefics. What this means is the Moon has a unique Astrological reality. It’s generally a very positive or Benefic force. As it reflects and amplifies the Sun, it’s a pure mirror of the Sun’s dignity, grace and power. Each month then, the Moon collides with the Sun and all the other Planets. These Astrological moments, called Transits or ‘conjunctions’ represent unique Astrological realities that are going to be affecting each of us on our Planet Earth. Some of these Astrological happenings are going to create positive vibrations and realities upon the Earth. Some are going to create negative or especially unhappy effects. The Knowledge and Wisdom of these Transits explains all the different vibrations that will be coming to the Earth each day, week, month and year! This is a great knowledge! As you learn this great aspect of Jyotish-Astrology you’ll become extremely knowledgeable in your own personal life. You’ll know how to prepare others for taking advantage of the good trends. You’ll also learn how to warn people about difficulties, even calamities on the horizon. Astrology is NOT just the knowledge of the future. Astrology is really the knowledge of taking advantage of this information so we can gain maximum advantage in our lives and evolution. So, it’s not enough just to know that this weekend it’s going to rain. We then take that information to help us plan our events, picnics better! So, if we want to figure out if this weekend is good for a party; we check the Weather station. The Transits represents the true Cosmic weather that’s going to be coming to us each day and year. The beauty and profundity of the Transits ‘Weather’ is we can know what’s going to be happening weeks, months and even years ahead! Imagine if you’d been able to predict the most recent mini-recession that came in 2000! Every 15-18 years the Planets Jupiter and Saturn collide. Knowing exactly when and for how long they’ll be colliding is just one of the Transits greatest accomplishments. Imagine if you’d known that the whole World would be plunged into a World wide recession. You would have been able to plan better! Right now, we’re in a new Jupiter/Saturn environment. For the first time in 5 years Jupiter is NOT being negatively aspected or affected by Saturn. This bodes well, in general, for all the World’s progress and growth now. The Transits can be known in terms of their most slow moving planets; Jupiter and Saturn and they can be known for their quickest moving planets, Moon and Mercury. Together these four planets express much of the every day reality of the Stars! Transits: 3rd Aspect Auspicious & Inauspicious Days The first two things to learn will be 1) What your Rising Sign is and 2) How the Moon Waxes and Wanes in your chart. This will be experienced in the different Houses and Signs of your individual, personal chart. The next thing you’ll discover is how the Moon’s collision with the other Astrological forces creates Auspicious and Inauspicious days of each month. For example, generally it’s Auspicious when the Moon becomes Full each month. However, the place and area of your chart where the Moon will be Full changes each month. This is because the Sun’s found moving through the different signs in your chart each month as well. However, different people experience the Moon differently. You should find out if the Moon makes you feel good as it reaches fullness or whether it makes you ‘shake’ like those who feel mildly berserk around the Full Moon. We can’t say everyone’s going to experience the Full Moon in the same way. These differences are due to the relative size and strengthen of the Moon in our different birth charts. However, after even a couple of months you’ll know more clearly how the Moon generally affects you. Next, we’ll discuss the major influences of the Moon. Generally it’s happiest when it’s getting bigger and generally less strong and lively when it’s getting smaller. The Transiting: Cycles of the Moon; Waxing & Waning The 2 major cycles of the Moon each month are that it Waxes, or gets bigger and Wanes or gets smaller. This is the first and most important Transiting reality of each day and month. Therefore ask yourself on each day, where is the Moon? Is it Waxing or Waning and how big is it? The Moon Affects us Emotionally The Moon’s movements then, affect us differently each day. Learning how to predict this most important Astrological Transit then, will be the first goal in our Transit Newsletter. Secondly, we’ll then focus on how the Moon interacts with all the other Astrological Realities. Auspicious & Inauspicious Collisions Each month the Moon collides with each of the other Astrological realities. During 2 ½ days of each month the Moon is opposite to the Sun, i.e. the Full Moon. Also during 2 ½ days of each month the Moon is in the same House and Sign as the Sun. This is the New Moon. Also, during each month the Moon will collide with all the other Planets. There are what is called Natural Benefic Planets and those that are called natural Malefics. Generally, Mercury, Venus and Jupiter are the Natural Benefices while Mars, Saturn and Rahu/Ketu are the general Natural Malefics. In truth all the planets are pure and Benefic, but this connotation of natural Benefic and Malefic is used to help explain the relative positive and negative realities that come each day and month. For example, there’s nothing essentially negative about the Waning or New Moon each month. It does however, represent for most people a mis-understood time so its relevance appears as a malefic experience. The Moon gets smaller and smaller when it Wanes and for most people they’re ill prepared to deal with this natural phenomena. As a result they try to do, act and accomplish like they normally do but during these least bright days of each month, generally there’s the least amount of light to get things done! So, straining and stress often result around New Moons; not because that’s the nature of this Moon & Sun collision or conjunction but because people aren’t aware of its unique character and don’t adjust accordingly. However, those who learn to rest more during the New Moon time, have the best results and this naturally Malefic time ends up being as Benefic as the Waxing Moon! Like this all the relative Astrological moments can be analyzed in terms of their positive Benefic or negative and Malefic nature. However, all times can be evolved into positive times. Even though a storm comes and the trees are rattled and shaken. In retrospect it’s a good thing that the loose timber got shaken up. The old gets eliminated and this actually helps the future growth of the forest. Like this, life’s experiences can shake us up. Only there’s an intrinsic wisdom and goodness there in spite of how it may feel. Once you know how to predict the storms, then you can hunker down and enjoy them as well. Identify the Auspicious & Inauspicious In this Newsletter we’ll identify which of the 5-10 days of each month are generally Auspicious and which Inauspicious. These will be the same for many people though of course; they will depend upon these same planets in our different Birth charts. Someone who has an Exalted or positive Benefic Saturn in their chart; will often times experience the Transits of Saturn more positively. This is where we’ll then need to discover the realities of our individual birth charts. The Transits will help us to discover our charts as well. 1st Goal In the Transits: The first goal in everyone’s Transits knowledge is to discover exactly How the Transits affect you! This may take 1-3 months but very quickly you should have enough experience that you can say which times are the best or troublesome for you. 2nd Goal: Plan around the Good And the Bad Once you know which days are typically more happy or Auspicious and which days less so you’ll gain tremendous advantage in life. Once you know which will be your ‘best’ days then you’ll know best how to plan and execute your life! It’s an amazing experience when you begin to use this knowledge of the Transits in your personal life. It doesn’t take much time and even two months of watching the Transits will give you instinctive knowledge as to how relevant these Auspicious and Inauspicious days are. 3rd Goal You’ll then become extremely perceptive at knowing how to take advantage of the positive and negative flow of life. In the beginning you may need to watch and remind yourself; but soon you’ll get to a point that you ‘feel’ these realities. At that point the whole purpose of the Transits will be fulfilled! You now will be able to live your life with much more Mastery of the every day realities of the Transiting Planets! Final Goal: To Improve Ourselves Once you discover which days are more positive then others this will help you know which Planets are more Benefic and which one’s more Malefic; in your birth chart. This natural verification from the Transits will help you know which planets are your strengths and which one are your weaknesses. Then, the study of these Transits can be used to help you improve or strengthen any of the weaker or Malefic planets in your chart. This is of course the REAL purpose of Jyotish-Astrology to become a better human being. To Become a Better Human Being Our experiences in these Transits are nature’s way of showing us how well we’re doing with each planet. Any negative or uncomfortable moment is nature’s way of showing us how in-tune we are with that planet. So, if we experience feeling rough during each Waning Moon, New Moon time, that’s nature telling us our Moon’s are delicate and need work. If however, we feel the Saturn grief that comes when Moon collides with Saturn each time of each month; that’s nature telling us that our Saturn’s need help! The Transits will verify all the Principles, Ideas, Rules and Laws of Jyotish & Astrology. You’ll be able to test how for yourself all the various rules. Those days when the Moon is in the same house as Saturn are unmistakable. However, 2 ½ days later when the Moon moves into the next Sign, those unique qualities of Saturn upon the Moon go away! 2 ½ days later when the Moon moves into and through the next sign, immediately those first experiences of Saturn can come back! When I first experienced this I was astounded. “Wow, this is that 3rd House aspect of Saturn that I read about!†When you realize all the rules and principles of Jyotish can be experienced in your every day experience Astrology really becomes profound! Once you discover which days and trends are positive and which one’s negative your focus in the Transits can move into becoming even more in-tune with especially the more negative or Malefic ones. In other words, we’re meant to grow, to improve the negative or Malefic planets within our charts; and as we do this the Transits of these planets will also become more positive or Benefic! This by the way, is the way in which you’ll be able to know that you’ve actually grown in terms of the over all strength and appreciation of each planet. Eventually you’ll find yourself experiencing only the positive side of each planet. That represents a time when you’ve really learned how to turn all your malefics; into Strengths!
