Was inspired to write this article today on the relationship of Jyotish or

Eastern Astrology and it's source in the complete Vedic

Knowledge. Hope you all are having a wonderful Moon in Libra

The Relationship of Jyotish, or Eastern Astrology and the Vedic

System of Knowledge is one of the most important aspects of

Astrology. In other words Jyotish has the

ability to Understand what we are about.

Contained within each one of our charts is a clear, precise

description of who we are and what our strengths and weaknesses

are.

Jyotish calls these our Benefices and Malefics. However, most people don’t realize that this

distinction is for us to learn where we need to grow and which Planets we

need to improve. For that Self-development

Vedic Knowledge represents a complete package of Knowledge and

Wisdom.

For example if the Sun or Moon is weak or undeveloped in our charts

we can look to the technology of Yoga or Vedic Meditation to literally

strengthen and unfold the unused, potential of Mind and

Consciousness. This of course refers to the

very heart of the Moon & Sun in our charts.

As we enliven ourselves with yoga and meditation these Vedic

practices have a profound and immediate effect on strengthening and

literally improving our chart’s Sun and Moon.

Or, if we have any health problems, not only can we find exactly

where they are in our Vedic Chart’s but we can then look to Ayurveda

to help us enliven the immune system and create better health. As we do this through the practices and procedures

of Ayurveda, immediately the Planets of ill-health in our charts become

stronger and begin creating health instead!

For each and every problem in life, Jyotish can find the

Astrological reason. Then, we can look to the

complete system of Vedic Knowledge and Wisdom to literally solve that and

any problem.

This is why the Ved is the solution to all problems in life. It contains the Knowledge and Wisdom of being able

to identify the source of all problems. Then

it can prescribe the literal solution to bring that Planet or combination

of Planets into balance. The true purpose of

Astrology is the development and full unfoldment of

our consciousness.

It’s been said that “man” uses only a very small

portion of his potential. The estimate is

something like 5-10/%. Brain researchers even

describe how only 20% of the brain chemistry is lively. So what is the remaining 80% for?, they

ask.

In Vedic Knowledge the vision of the full potential of human nature

is emmense. The mind of all human beings is

literally infinite. Through the avenue of

human awareness, the mind of the individual can be connected to it’s

infinite source. Deep inside each one of us is

our own unlimited potential which is the true destiny of us

all.

Jyotish has the ability today to help us see where we’ve

started from at our births. However, present

day Jyotish has forgotten its true purpose is to unfold the unused, latent

potential. Instead Jyotish has become a system

of fatalistic prediction and frustration. Many

people that I’ve talked to over the years don’t even like

looking at their Astrology because they don’t want to know where

their fate is limited and set.

Today, however, we’re beginning an age when the full

potential of Vedic Knowledge is now becoming available. For the first time in hundreds of years it’s

now being realized that the true purpose of Vedic Wisdom is the complete

unfoldment of our human potential. All aspects

of Vedic Knowledge from Yoga, Meditation, Yaguas, Ayurveda and even

Jyotish are now being practiced with this unfoldment in mind.

This is having a profound influence on the field of Astrology as

well. Instead of future negative periods being

the pre-cursors to doom and gloom, instead negative or malefic periods are

beginning to be seen as “dangers on the horizon”. Then, Vedic remedies and remedial measures can be

prescribed so literally one can “change” one’s

future!

Instead of fate being the nature of life; life is beginning to be

understood as the path of growth and development to a literally unlimited

future!

Over the next few weeks we’ll reflect on all the healing ways

in which the different aspects of Vedic Knowledge can literally change and

transform our charts. Our charts are not our

unchangeable fate but the opportunities for growth and progress which is

the true purpose of our births!

We’ll also examine the Psychology of Jyotish to help us

understand ourselves better and to learn the true lessons of our

births. The true purpose of Psychology is to

help any person develop their full, unused latent potential. Jyotish or Astrology is the Knowledge of the exact,

precise paths that each one of us are on.

We each are living a unique and specific, different path. Learning exactly what our path is and how we can

learn to better progress along our path is the true purpose of

Astrology. In the next few weeks we’ll

learn about how the specific needs and situations in our charts lend

themselves very precisely to the various properties and benefits of the

different disciplines of Vedic Knowledge.

Consciousness. It is the #1 remedy for

improving any and all Planetary imbalances and Malefics in our

charts. After that we can focus on how

to utilize any of the other Vedic Disciplines for any and all Malefic

problems in our charts.

What inspires us to grow in life are the stories of the fully

evolved, fully developed human beings. In both

the West and East we have some good examples of Enlightened individuals

who are the “signs” of that fully developed Full

Potential. First we’ll reflect on them

and how their lives and accomplishments serve as clear reminders that

every human being has an unlimited human potential that’s the true

purpose of our lives.

Then, we’ll focus on how our own individual Charts are the

clear path through which we’re meant to walk in our own unfoldment

of our full potential.
