Guest guest
Dear Aishwarya:Think of money as just giving and receiving. You give your gift, and you deserve something in return. It doesn't matter whether it's money or not. But, you will receive back from Almighty God, no matter what! That's a given!Whether you decide to deny yourself the money returning karma doesn't matterso much as allowing others to give back to you!If you don't provide a channel for them to give back, then they can stay stuckin their ill-health.And because much of ill-health comes from not giving .....then they're not be helped. In Astrology, which is my field, there are 3 Houses in the Astrology chart whichhave to do with people's concept, Knowledge or Wisdom about money. We make money from our 11th House. How well we spend our money is glimpsed from the 12th House, and Whether there's any left over is understood by the 2nd House. In many of the charts I've done over the years associated with spiritual people orthose who are on the path, many of them come from a strong renunciate path, and part of the path of renunciation is to give, but not give for money....There is in fact, a huge difference between the path of the renunciate and the Householder. It's up to you whether you want to be a Householder or Not....It makes no difference to God.But, if anyone has any challenges with money, especially not receiving enough, one of the reasons can because we have some spiritual, theoretical problemwith it.But, if we realize money given or received is just a certain flavor of karma thenwe don't have to feel guilty about chargeing for our gifts. We can still give without any monetary return. There is this concept of pro-bono where professionals give of their time for thefinancially strapped.I tell my Astrology clients that if they can't pay, I'll consider doing some help forthem, pro-bono.But, I get a lot of people who don't want to pay, even though they can afford it,so I know it's NOT healthy for me to give to them, when they're not willing togive back to me.Our gifts don't have to be expensive. In fact, learning " How " to receive practical monetary amounts for our new agegifts will allow our new age activities to develop. If we don't charge, then, we may not have enough life " support " to continue. So, " ACCEPT " the monetary gifts which are your right!Sincerely,Mark Kincaidre. We on the other hand who work in more esoteric forms of healing, not easily quantifable for modern researh purposes, have conflict over whether we should charge people for our services or whether we should give them to others since they were in some sense given to us. I always find myself stuggling with this issue as it relates to the last post I wrote...I feel, inside of my own personal self, that charging money for Reiki or any kind of esoteric form of healing that I do--overtime will somehow corrupt it. You know, like, for instance, my father is a veterinarian. He is a great animal doctor, very ethical and a complete inspiration to me in business. However, I have seen times when, say he was going on a trip with his wife to the carribean and needed a little extra money and sold few sundry items to a client who didn't really need them, but it wasn't going to hurt their pet to give it, kind'a just precautionary medicine, thought completely unnecessary--just to increase " profits " for the day to go towards his trip. Medical doctors do this as well on occasion. What they tell you that you need on some occasions is not really a need, it won't hurt, but you could live without it...medication, surgery, etc... I, myself, do not want to look up one day and do something unnecessary for someone who comes to me for healing, because it is helpful, will not hurt them, but is completely unnecessary, just to take in a few more dollars to buy that new bust of " Buddha " that would look so nicely in my living room and add to the ambiance of the " healing home... " But, then, maybe I'm just over reacting...What do you think? Ash
