Guest guest
Hello Mark, I am very new to the topic of jyotish/astrology, so please forgive the simplicity of my questions.((Ahhh, finally, someone who's willing to admit their youth!, hehe) I have noticed over the years and especially over the last two years since I started a very active yogi lifestyle, that I can feel good and/or bad regardless of the current set of circumstances. Most of the time, it is very subtle, but my awareness of myself is growing and it is very noticeable. ((Very good point, and you're absolutely right.Generally I tell people there are 3 aspects to our Astrology thatwe're living all the time.#1 there's our chart! This is by far the most important part ofour Astrological nature.#2 Then, there's our dasas. The Dasas are our time shifts, oremotional shifts depending upon the karmas in our chart's.So, if you've got a good Saturn but a slightly challenged Moon period, then a Saturn Moon period would be mixed, good and badcoming of exactly those qualities and issues in your life.#3...Then there are the Transits. These are the influences of the environment, coming to us, as if through our bodies each day.I emphasize the Transits, only because I want people to learn to feel the Stars. In Truth, most people will experience the Transits as being more relevant if the Moon in their own Charts, is Waning, small or negativelyaspected. Also, it's a lot easier to talk about the general influence for everyone thentrying to talk about issues for one person at a time. However, I like to do both, periodically, too.)) Recently as I have been reading books on astrology and started to wonder if it can be correlated to the transits, more specifically to the tithes. I was planning on starting a journal to see if I could correlate. And then I recently joined your group and saw the posts on the new moon and Saturn. I was happy as it is helping me understand the possibilities.((Yes, yes, definitely start a journal. Pay special attention to the classic quarters, New Moon like today, then 1/4 full in 1 week, full Moon in 2 weeks, then 1/4 empty in 3, and New Moon again in 4.PS...yes, your own Moon & Saturn conjunction will be important foryou to 'grok' because you have the Moon & Saturn together in your chart.Like me!)) My Saturn is very well placed in the 11th with Aires as my Ascendant. My moon is very closely conjuct. Since Saturn is so well placed, I would expect to feel good during this last transit and the new moon phase, however, I have felt a general low level anxiousness over the last 3-4 days, then yesterday, this vanished and I returned to a general overall good feeling, during the actual amavasya tithi.((I'll bet you, this wasn't just because of the Moon & Saturn colliding, but was most probably due to the New Moon. When people first begin watching the Stars, they're not used to flowingwith the Moon, so there's a lot of stress within.During the Moon cycles, the Moon's waxings are meant to help us unwindour stresses. So, during the New Moon like today and last few days, people everywhereare feeling more tired, and listless and don't know why. This is primarily because the Moon's sooo small, and the energy of the biggerMoon is just not coming to us.This is because the Moon's trying to direct us to go within.I always take off during the New Moon time, and rest, rejuvenate, vacation, and heal!)) In my quest to find a correlation, would you advise to look at the lunar cycles or more at planetary influences? I thought the lunar cycles as my underlying moods seem to change daily or weekly.((The message archives have weeks weeks, and months of nice correlationsbetween what the Moon is doing and predictable results, and people'sexperiences that they've sent in.)) Personally, my Saturn dasha is and has been very good for me, many trials, but the personal and spiritual growth has been tremendous, along with many gains career-wise.((You will also be interested in my new Saturn group, that I started especiallyfor the most recent Sun & Saturn planetary war that's just not finishing. You can find it at:SurrenderingToSaturn/ Thank you for your feedback. May 6th, 1964 and Reading PA, all right.DST comes up automatically in my computer.Be sure to check your program or write me personally at:markkincaidGood luck,Welcome again.Mark Kincaid
