Dear AZ:

Yours is a very good question. With a good knowledge of your Western

chart, you should be able to understand fairly easily many of the ideas of

Jyotish.

In 'our' Nature's Astrology here, I've been developing what I believe is a

system which is really the 'best' of both West & East.

When I first started studying the Eastern 'transits' I became keenly aware

that 'Astrology' was alive and very real, out there in nature, as well as in

here.

I then, started to see that the two systems weren't necessarily opposed

as let's say, 'complementary'.

I would suggest however, you get a professional Jyotish astrologer to 'do'

your chart sometime, so he/she can help you grasp your chart through the

Jyotish system.

Also, I've written a number of articles which I think you'll find very

interesting saved in the 'files' section.

Enjoy, and ask any questions that you'd like.

Sincerely,

Mark K.

ps.... also there are a number of others in our group who are also very

knowledgeable about 'Jyotish' and will be able to help you too.

pss... oh yes I do also professional Jyotish readings if you're ever

interested, too.

Namaste all,

When using Jyotish sidereal methods my whole chart is shifted back

by approximately 24 degrees moving my Moon/Rising sign from Leo to

Cancer, moving my Sun-Jupiter-Venus from Scorpio into Libra and

moving my Ketu/Raha from Aries/Libra to Pisces/Virgo. Does this mean

I must throw-out every thing I've learned about my chart and my Soul

purpose in my current incarnation using the methods of Esoteric and

Evolutionary Astrology in order to use Jyotish?

I have also noticed that Jyotish does not use the outer planets of

Uranus, Neptune and Pluto. I've come to rely on the sign, planetary

and house placements and their relationships to the other planets

and Ketu/Raha to determine the Soul's evolutionary lessons and karma

of the native.

What I'm asking is how is it possible to rectify these vast

differences between the two approaches without choosing one method

as being valid over the other.

What I've determined so far is that the Jyotish system is perhaps a

better predictive method while the evolutionary system is perhaps a

better psychological tool. I really don't know where to go from here.

Best regards,

Thank you Mark, I really appreciate the reply.

I can for sure see the advantage of somehow being able to synergize

the best of eastern and western methods into a complimentary system.

I will read into the files and I'm sure I will come up with many

more questions. And certainly, seeking out a professional Jyotish

reading is not out of the question. Thanks again!

Best Energy,

Karl
