Glad to join the group.

My name is Samir Patel

DOB: Dec. 09, 1952,

Rising Sign: Gemini(Lagna) and Moon sign (Leo)

 

I was born and brought up in Ahmedabad, India and graduated in 1973

with Microbiology Major, could not pursue further studies in

Industrial Microbiology in Scotland and then moved to Nairobi, Kenya

in 1974 (Ma/Ra dasa) and in late 2001 (Ju/Sa dasa) to USA.

 

Initially in Kenya, I have been in laboratory supplies business and

then in 1984 set up a business to manufacture and purify chemicals

for analytical use. Then in USA, I wandered for two years looking

for a place and business and for last two years have been in

Printing business in Austin, Texas.

 

My interest in Astrology was superficial visiting astrologers to

listen to their sweet talk to get pumped up in slow paced, easy

going East African life. Never took them seriously as most of paid

Astrologer only gives rosy picture of future. Most people go there

in trouble for hope.

 

But in February 1984, I was setting up my new venture of

manufacturing chemicals and have got all machines from overseas in

my factory site and utilities etc set up. I made a new friend who

had moved to Nairobi and were chatting in the evening, he brought

topic of Astrology and in the process I showed him my horoscope.

After studying it for a while in silence, he challenged me if I

could start production before July. First I laughed at it and then

took his challenge with confidence as I knew that I have to install

machines and run trial which could take a month maximum as it was

not a project of big magnitude.

 

Even working late nights and with more vigor and help, I could not.

Some sort of hitches kept on cropping till July. I have exalted Mars

in 8th house and was aggressive. I succumbed to Natural Force.

 

That phase gave me a chance to look inwards and accept Natural

Forces. Got some books and studied basics of Astrology, its effects,

did Astrology course in TM centre in Nairobi.

 

I started looking for answerers in Astrology for my problems and

questions like why ME? why NOW? what NEXT? Etc

 

I believed the horoscope was my life book. Beginning to end, written

for me, live till end. That's not true, I agree with Mark,

it's a

state of Physiology at birth. It shows the power houses and weak

links. Use the thrust in right direction like vertical take off

plane, to elevate and go forward and safe guard your weaknesses.

 

On Life, I would say watch Saturn and Jupiter transit(with chart and

dasa as well) and if need be, " Surrender " as Mark puts it.

One will

come as pure Gold comes out from fire. It teaches a lot and widen

horizon with Jupiter, get occasional burst from Mars and Sun and

enjoy with Venus.

 

Now Friends, I need your advise on my profession. I am in printing

business and things are not good. I may have to opt for change. To

What?

I have exalted Saturn in 5th house, Exalted Mars and Venus with Rahu

in 8th, Jupiter in 11th. Vacant 10th house (Meen). Going thru

Jup/Ket dasa

I will appreciate your views.
