Hi Mark,

I am new to this website and have seen the extensive knowledge you've

relating to Saturn and thought I would ask for your help in

understanding what Saturn is trying to teach me.

Dear Brin:

Sorry, it's taken me so long to get back with you. This is my busiest time of the year.

Retro Saturn's Influences - Mark pls help understand

Hi Mark,

I am new to this website and have seen the extensive knowledge you've

relating to Saturn and thought I would ask for your help in

understanding what Saturn is trying to teach me.

Patience is one for sure as the retro Saturn (Lord of 6th and 7th

houses) is placed in Cancer (3.26deg which I am not sure means

anything) - I am a Leo lag native). Being the lord of 7th house, my

marriage is definately delayed (I am almost 30). My lagna lord, sun,

is placed in the 7th house - aquarius.

Also, I am living away from my birth country.

Lord of the 6th & 7th in the 12th house of loss tends to give delays for marriage

as well.

Saturn is also testing my mental strength (as Saturn in placed in 12th

house in retro and moon is placed in Saggi 8.12deg) as proposals come

close to being finalized and then for whatever reason, the marriage

just doesn't happen.

This is why Jyotish says pre-marital relations is due to the 5th house, while marriage

and partnerships are the 7th house....

Would the fact that Jupiter's (being in its own house - the 8th house

of Pisces) aspect on the 12th house and both Venus & Mercury's aspects

(from 6th house - capricorn), lessen the malefic nature/influences of

Saturn in Cancer? And would Saturn's malefic aspect on the 2nd house

(Virgo) be lessened by Jupiter's aspect on the 2nd house (even though

Jupiter is in a dusthana house)?

Yes, yes.... you're right.

Besides a delay in marriage, what else would you think the Saturn's

position and aspects on it is trying to teach me?

Saturn in the 12th house, no matter what houses Sani rules generally means

'loss' of something....

Cuz Sani is in the 12th house of loss.

So, too many bills, not enough savings, and losses of many kinds, tends to come.

I am told that I

would marry a person who is lower than my position in life (I am a

successful professional with a decent financial position). Would you

concur with that?

There are 2 major aspects of Jyotish.

There's the quality of our charts 'fitting' us, and then,

there are the remedies and things we can do to improve our lot in life!

Another dimension to this, is VRY - 6th lord saturn being placed in

12th house. Given all these factors, it is very difficult for a newbie

like myself to interpret the retro Saturn in my chart and would very

much appreciate your help.

Yes, 6th house lord in the 12th can mean challenges with health.

Best way to understand whether Sani's acting malefically, is to figure out whether any

of Sani's negative behaviors are found....

Then, one should investigate in terms of the remedial measures of Saturn, for improving

oneself.

Thank you,

Brin

Dear Mark,

Thank you for taking your valuable time to respond to my questions.

I believe Sani is acting malefically because, even though my income is

not that bad, my savings are lower than what another person with my

income level would have. My expenditures are high, but they are

usually for 'good' causes (house maintenance & renovation, expenses

due to my busy social life, etc.). I believe this is due to Jupiter's

aspect - the outflow of money is there, but for positive causes.

Due to my lack of knowledge of Jyotish, can you please explain the below:

My Question was: " I am told that I would marry a person who is lower

than my position in life (I am a successful professional with a decent

financial position). Would you concur with that?

Can you please explain what you mean by " there's the quality of our

charts fitting us...?

Thank you once again,

Brin
