What you think is what you reap

Dear Sanjit:

You bring up a great subject.

It's even in the bible, that thinking 'ill' of one's neighbor is just as bad as creating wrong

actions.

In truth, however, I think for most people it's very hard to change oneself.

It's therefore very difficult, often, to change the source of our actions, our thoughts.

This is because the source of our thinkings has not been found.

In Jyotish there is this clear distinction between our positives and our negatives;

Our positives are due to our Benefic planets, while

Our negatives are due to our Malefic planets.

However, most people misinterpret this to mean that this planet is good while this one is no

good.

The truth is our planets represent our thought patterns, or thoughts, that we've created for

one reason or another.

There are many reasons why we develop the thought patterns that we have.

Maybe we grew up in a life time, where everyone talked a lot and went fast. So, we thought,

" ahhh, this is how it is that we should grow up. "

In my own case, I remember my parents telling me to go to bed on time, but I heard them

staying up late, so I listened to them listening to TV, through this vent between the 2nd & 3rd

floors.

I couldn't for the life of me, understand why I was tired every day of my school, career....?

It wasn't just that my Saturn was in my 12th house.

It was because of my thought patterns or forms, that drew to me the karma that I did, and yet

no one was there to help me unravel my good from my bad, habits.

Later, Jyotish would come around and not only does it have the ability to help us understand

exactly why we're the way we are; it makes these value judgements that 'these' thought

patterns are good while these 'others' are not.

This value judgement, begins to give us insight into more, how the universe or a 'Guru' sees us.

Otherwise, we'll keep doing wrong action, untill we get sick or tired of it.

Sincerely,

Mark Kincaid

Lots of questions being asked on this forum these days and lots of probing. So I thought I should add my own! We discuss sins, karma, malefics, benefics but I am now beginnig to think that it all there in the head. All these stuff is true, no doubt but I believe that thoughts are the source of everything. To change your destiny, first change your thinking. You wont be punished because you drank and gambled, but youll be punished for thinking as a alcoholic and a gambler. I am not saying here that such vices are sins or not but the thinking that follows such practices brings ruin. If gambling alone created bad karma and brought ruin then occassional lottery winners of astronomical sums would be ruined first.
