With some children, or people or even countries Maharishi reacts one way and with others, another. Imagine if Maharishi was our parent and he'd told us about all these great potentials, what would he do? I think this is Maharishi's greatest challenge, how to inspire people for this Knowledge. For so many years he gave us the practical experience of transcending, then later, sidhis, and all the while, waves after waves of knowledge. What did we do? Depending upon each of our situations, we responded to Maharishi differently. I'm only glad that Maharishi seemed to need us, to help the World. Otherwise, if Maharishi had been a traditional Guru, where the student was to have to spend many years first, practicing Yama and the such, we'd still be waiting for the good stuff. Sometimes, I think of Maharishi as being a conductor at the station, and seeing a run away train on the tracks. What he does, is to try to help us slow down, get off the tracks, divert the out of control train...etc. For a long time I thought the Guru was meant to be understood, but lately I'm beginning to think that maybe, just maybe, he's really meant to be surrendered to. In Jyotish, the Guru, called Jupiter, is that part of us, from where Knowledge comes. Part of growing within the wisdoms of Jupiter, is to transcend, and other times, we're meant to understand, and others, to surrender. Sincerely, Mark Kincaid Meditator since 1970. TM teacher since 1973.
