Dear Prashant: I'm very happy to have you in our group. I'm sorry for the delay at resonding to your words here. I've been very swamped and am presently catching up with emails. See below: " prashant_asrani1973 " <prashant_asrani1973 Tue, 10 May 2005 15:07:47 -0000 thanks mark for entry to the group hi mark! first of all would like to thankyou for including me in yr group. i would like to introduce myself. my name is prashant. date of birth 21 feb 1973.time 13.55 mumbai. First I'd like to ask you what your Rising Sign or Ascendent is? i am an osho sannyasi. had a tough time in life in past so got interested in astrology to know why is all happening to me which shouldnt have(everybody thinks the same...). i understand now that astrology is big big subject... " a lost science which was completely developed in past " as osho says. i try to still read as much as possible despite a busy schedule. I know what you mean. When I first got into Jyotish, I spent every breathing moment trying to find my way. I tell you, it's the most amazing thing I've ever done, next to learning to meditate, of course... hehe Now, I practice them both together... ....and more for funs sake rather than for being an astrologer. Well maybe you'll get inspired, more here! hehe have seen people taking astrologers too seriously and also most of these so called astrologers destroy the innocence and faith of people. Yes, I agree. Fortunately my background was as a meditation teacher, (Transcendental Meditation) so having taught thousands of people meditation and Vedic knowledge, when I got into Jyotish I started doing it, in a positive and as up-lifting a way as I used to teach meditation. dont the astrologers need to WISE themselves first before advising anybody who has come just out of innocence about life? EXTREMELY GOOD POINT, HERE! Most Astrologers, even Jyotishees, aren't practicing yogis, or seers, but merely, cerebral or intellectually sophisticated in the principles and rules. What occured to me, however, and again, probably due to my meditation and evolutionary experiences, that Jyotish should be more about.... becoming a better human being, then, just intellectually understanding one's fate! Also, there is a great responsibility in the actual doing of Jyotish. At some point I came across this passage in Maharishi Parashar's book on Hora Astrology where he says,... if you do Jyotish poorly, you'll come back as some sor of,...(and here I'm using my word),.... toad! hehhe i myself must have gone to atleast 50 astrologers and some of them very big names, but at the end of it all see each ones interpretation just superficial and with limited vision of life. The thing that's been lacking is the enlightenment, in the Jyotishee. This is why I emphasize things like meditation, so much. Jyotish is for life and evolution...and is in fact, the best knowledge I've ever come acrosse, at helping understand what one needs to improve oneself, and grow, inthis life.. Jyotish, in fact, is a great,....PATH OF ENLIGHTENMENT....! but i still see something deeper to be understood and shared in astrology...so will try to work on this subject if my schedule allows. love you all....
