Dear Mark,

 

Thanks for looking at my horoscope.

 

First, about the rising sign.

 

 

I was asking you 'what' your rising sign is....?

 

According to the vedic system my rising sign is

Capricon and moon is in aries.

 

That's what I have too, Moon in Aries....

 

Now if you cast my chart using the

western system then the rising sign becomes aquarius and moon comes

in taurus. (I havent noticed the other planets before I chose to

stick to the vedic system)

 

I think the Eastern system is more accurate, but because the 2 systems are still fairly close

23 degrees apart, they tend to overlap in many ways...

 

 

But, in another 1650 years, or so, the two systems will be over 46 degrees apart and there

won't be as much simmilarities....

 

 

 

 

About what I am interested in knowing:

 

 

1.) Relationships, relationships, relationships..I think my weak

mars affects (or will affect) my relationships (particularly with

the opposite sex) in an adverse manner. Is there anything I can do

to preempt that?

 

Generally, wherever we have our planets, and especially, 'malefics', we do feel we want to go there, and figure things out...

 

Also, your 7th house, being ruled by Moon, will mean you'll have a lot of emotional investment

at wanting to figure things out....

 

Mars/Cancer, in the 7th is a bit of a complicated, reality....

 

On the one hand Mars in the 7th, is not so good for relationships...

 

And, the normal suggestion is to learn to minimize,...the Marish, intensity, that you feel,

especially related to activities of the 7th house...

 

However, Mars/Cancer....has a completely different connotation, and that is, 'we're meant to learn to stand up more, for ourselves...

 

Tell me what your experiences so far have been in-tune with 'relationships'.....?

 

 

 

 

2.) Not a good phase of life since 2002ish.

 

For periods of life, out-there especially, we look to the transits, and the dasas...

 

 

 

Am not satisfied with

the way my career is progressing. The irony is that I mess it up

myself.

 

This is a great insight, however.

 

It's really, true, that life, is the way, that we are and have been...

 

So, learning exactly, how, our life is the way we've been 'thinking' is a great insight

from all Vedic knowledge, but especially, thorugh Jyotish.

 

In our Jyotish chart's are the exact details of our 'karmas', our thought patterns, and

if we don't learn to do certain things differently, the expected results!

 

 

This is a period of great turmoil. Would appreciate if you

can throw some light on my career prospects etc.

 

Like I said: There are two ways of looking at our charts..

 

#1, there's the normal way, where we look at the karmic periods, in more a flat, fatalistic way,

But,

there's also another way, where we instead, especially if we see dangers upon the horizon,

that we figure out what we could be doing differently,.....

 

If we can learn to strengthen, any of the malefic functioning planets, that have been previously

dominating....

 

 

3.) Gemstones ! am wearing cat's eye since 2003. Want to know if

blues sapphire would suit me.

 

 

There's many more, even more powerful suggestions that we can talk about, in addition to 'gems'.

Also, could you please confirm my own astrological analysis

regarding my planets (nature and strength):

Sun: Most malefic, fair in strength

Moon: Benefic; very strong

MErcury: not very Benefic ; fair in strength

Venus: Benefic; weak in strength

Mars: Malefic; strong

Jupiter: Malefic; weak

Saturn: ?????????????????

Rahu: ?????????

Ketu: ???????????
