Guest guest
Dear Durga: Please, see below: " gkdurga " <gkdurga Fri, 04 Mar 2005 18:46:50 -0000 Re: 2-Durga, re. Learning Jyotish vs. just taking advantage from it!, > Mark Kincaid...3/4/05 Hello Mark, Sorry for the miscommunication, as you might have been aware by now that I am very bad at people skills. Yesterday, after I wrote to you. It suddenly occured to me that in the astro.com website's application of drawing your chart, it gives the opportunity os selecting varios type of house methods. When I keyed in my information with hindu lahiri, houses and chart drawing, I noticed a great difference. And I started to understand why people react the way they do for whatever I say. People skills, ..thats what its all about...the only thing I am at loss and have to constantly push myself to attain. I found that out from cyberastro which gave an analysis of my sun.. which is in 12 house. The reason why I asked about rising sign, is that it takes a few mins. and I always recomend when one is getting one's Jyotish/Astrology, done, to make sure one's rising sign, is correct. ie. rectification. but,.... this is the description given there.. Sun in House XII Sun in 12th house, does generally mean one has a shy, side to one... I have Moon & Saturn in my 12th house, and that's been certainly true for me! too... However, the positive side of the 12th house, should not be forgotten! 12th house stands for the last house and is very much associated with enlightenment, and finding fulfillment... This is not a good signature in the worldly sense of the term. You may lack what it takes to make a prosperous and successful life. This 'wordage' I don't agree with... Sun, or any planets in the 12th house, I'd rather say, represent the tendency, born from the past, to having been more interested in the inner, vs. the outer... but many people, I know, who have a strong spirituality in this life, also have a strong renunicative side to them, that does.... sometimes get in the way of accomplishments in the world! Your interests may be more towards liberation. Matters related to the father may also suffer greatly. There may be trouble of the left eye or vision in general. You may also lack confidence and may be considered as laid back in an opportune moment. You may be detached and your loved ones may suffer due to your lack of emotional bond or attachment. This is an unfavorable location of the Sun for worldly success. Yes, I'd agree, but...there are always mitigating, and conflicting currents in one's chart too... Simple Rule of Thumb re-starting studying one's Astrology! The first thing I recomend to people,... is.... #1,....make a list of as many of the different aspects of yourself that you know, first... I'm so tall, have brown hair, green eyes,...etc. I have this relationship with my Father, this,...kind of one with my Mother,... I have ____ number of siblings.. I like these kinds of subjects in school... I'm....like...this.... and fill in the blanks.. First right down what you know about yourself... And as you study your chart, see if you can find the Jyotish descriptions that 'fit' your personal descriptions... When you get to a point where you've found each and every Jyotish reason, why you're exactly the way you are! then, eureka you've done it! This may take a month, it may take you 6 months... However long it takes, this is what I recomend for people wanting to start learning their charts.. This saves a lot of time, then going the other way,...and trying to find yourself, in all the different descriptions of your Astrology... But, once you've found the real Astrology through the descriptions of the Sun, Moon, Rising Signs, etc... then, a great Jyotish 'aha' comes to you! and you're way on your way to Mastering Your Chart! I want to know whether this is the conclusion you will come too or not. One of my english teachers taught me to give the sources before you state, so that you have a strong argument. I am not arguing...I want a confirmation from you. Is this what you have learned about sun in 12H too. I have been introduced to astrology by my parents but as you said they used it rather than learned it. But I want to learn it too. I understand that I dont have to. I read somewhere and I cant recollect where but that I am interested in learning this science because of some major transit. And now I am preplexed as to whether I will be still interested in it after the transit. I know this happening to me for quite some time. So I am trying to put it in peice by peice and coming and visiting it out sheer curiosity that every one has and confused by the hypocratic outlook I receive from it. Also, when we study our charts, we study them in part. I have the Sun over here and the Moon over here.... and that's all kind of artificial. At some point you have to let go of it all, and embrace all aspects simultaneously... Another thought that occurs, is... #2.... study your Planets in Signs first... because until you're sure about your Rising sign, your houses, may be off... Study, for example, what it's like to have,...so many planets in Gemini... That's a really distinctive part of your chart, if you were born on,....June 14, 1973... Venus, Mercury, Saturn and Ketu, all in Gemini, on this day! #3....and finally,.... study your strengths, first, if you can... Your Moon may be in Scorpio, but,.... it was a full Moon on your day of birth, which is very auspicious... I hope you understand what I am writing about. here is the link for my chart at astro.com http://www.astro.com/cgi/showgif.cgi?lang=e & gif=achart_kixfileFbeF8C- u1032796465.67435.18998.gif & res=100 & va= Thank you for being patient with me. Durga. I'm happy you're expanding into a very new, and yet, exciting World! Discovering one's Astrology, is the best thing I've done in this life! ciao Mark , Mark Kincaid <m.kincaid@m...> wrote: > Dear Durga: > > For most people they won't be interested in learning Astrology. > > For most, they'll be happy just asking professional Astrologers for their > help. > > This has been the long habit and great benefit of Astrology. > > I have my formal Jyotish charts which I mentioned before. > > If you can't afford a 'reading' then, I'd suggest you join my jyotish > research project > where I trade my chart readings of participation in my study. > > I have been studying Jyotish since 1988! > > It's been one of the greatest things I've ever done, in this life. > > I can't even begin to express how amazing it is, to discover 'these' great > truths, of Astrology > and life. > > Don't be disheartened, be encouraged. > > Without this knowledge and wisdom, life would continue struggling through. > > But, with this great advantage, we begin the process of shortening our > ignorance, and living life, more with the natural grace and joy that comes > from being more in-tune. > > Sincerely, > > > Mark Kincaid > > > ps... go to my joetischgroup at: > > JoeTischResearchProject/ > > pss....
