Dear Durga:

 

For most people they won't be interested in learning Astrology.

 

For most, they'll be happy just asking professional Astrologers for their help.

 

This has been the long habit and great benefit of Astrology.

 

I have my formal Jyotish charts which I mentioned before.

 

If you can't afford a 'reading' then, I'd suggest you join my jyotish research project

where I trade my chart readings of participation in my study.

 

I have been studying Jyotish since 1988!

 

It's been one of the greatest things I've ever done, in this life.

 

I can't even begin to express how amazing it is, to discover 'these' great truths, of Astrology

and life.

 

Don't be disheartened, be encouraged.

 

Without this knowledge and wisdom, life would continue struggling through.

 

But, with this great advantage, we begin the process of shortening our ignorance, and living life, more with the natural grace and joy that comes from being more in-tune.

pss.... There are many people who will 'do' your chart, and no, you don't need to learn

anything. And, like I said, this will be the role of most people naturally just using Jyotish.

Thank you for the quick analysis of my chart. However, I am rather

very new to this and dont seem to understand the connections ...the

way you put it. I first have to know which planets which house and

then understand the vocabulary being used. And then figure out

whether it really applies to me or not. Long way to go.

Can you tell me how you got your knowledge of this science. If you

have approached books. Please suggest me one so that I can borrow

from the library (for the basics) and try to understand it and

possibly get some clarifications.

 

Mark I know you are coming up with a book too. But you should have a

referrence too can you suggest one.

Hello Mark,

 

Sorry for the miscommunication, as you might have been aware by now

that I am very bad at people skills.

Yesterday, after I wrote to you. It suddenly occured to me that in

the astro.com website's application of drawing your chart, it gives

the opportunity os selecting varios type of house methods. When I

keyed in my information with hindu lahiri, houses and chart drawing,

I noticed a great difference. And I started to understand why people

react the way they do for whatever I say. People skills, ..thats

what its all about...the only thing I am at loss and have to

constantly push myself to attain. I found that out from cyberastro

which gave an analysis of my sun.. which is in 12 house.

 

this is the description given there..

This is not a good signature in the worldly sense of the term. You

may lack what it takes to make a prosperous and successful life.

Your interests may be more towards liberation. Matters related to

the father may also suffer greatly. There may be trouble of the left

eye or vision in general. You may also lack confidence and may be

considered as laid back in an opportune moment. You may be detached

and your loved ones may suffer due to your lack of emotional bond or

attachment. This is an unfavorable location of the Sun for worldly

success.

 

I want to know whether this is the conclusion you will come too or

not.

 

One of my english teachers taught me to give the sources before you

state, so that you have a strong argument. I am not arguing...I want

a confirmation from you. Is this what you have learned about sun in

12H too.

 

I have been introduced to astrology by my parents but as you said

they used it rather than learned it. But I want to learn it too. I

understand that I dont have to.

 

I read somewhere and I cant recollect where but that I am interested

in learning this science because of some major transit. And now I am

preplexed as to whether I will be still interested in it after the

transit. I know this happening to me for quite some time. So I am

trying to put it in peice by peice and coming and visiting it out

sheer curiosity that every one has and confused by the hypocratic

outlook I receive from it.
