2-Adnan, Bettina & All:, re.... Rahu and Ketu's Aspects-- from Mark....2/6/05 & Relationship between Transits & our charts

Dear Adnan, Bettina & All:

 

I think because we 'notice' the transits, most vividly, we tend to think that they effect the Psychology & Physiology, which are aspects of our 'charts'.

 

However, it only makes sense that the chart, and all it's implications, aspects, etc. would also influence the other way...

 

The way I experience it, is, ... my chart is like my given, my everyday reality, and I do feel the subtleties of the fact that my Saturn in the 12th aspects my 2nd, and my Mars in the 10th aspects my 1st,...e.tc...

 

Then when I pay attention to the transits, for example, when Saturn went into Cancer, it was transiting my 10th house...

 

And I could really experience it. It felt like this huge boulder sllooooowly.... inching across the landscape of my 10th house...

 

Then, the Moon comes along and when it's in the same house as my Saturn, that's one experience and then when the Moon moves into the 3rd house away from the transiting Saturn, again that Saturn quality comes back...

 

In my case, with Sani moving into my 10th house, when the Moon went into Virgo, last month, I could again, feel that Sani influence from my 10th house...

 

And because my Natal Moon & Saturn are both in my 12th house....

 

I could feel these 2 forces, like layers upon layers...

 

On the one hand, I felt comfortable with the Moon there, because I was born there, and also, Jupiter's presently transiting Virgo, and that was there too...

which felt very glorious for the Moon...

 

However, my Saturn is!, in the 12th....and the transiting Moon going into that house, simultaneously being aspected by Saturn in Cancer, in my 10th.... all of that....I could experience, goings on, at the same time...

 

It only makes sense, if the Natal planets have their different aspects, then, when the transiting Planets are 'doing there thing', then, it's imaginable, that their 'two' influences, would 'add' up.

Thanks for your reply and reminder,

I am mentioning about Vedic astrology.

May I humbly disagree;

At least one good friend of mine, who happens to be accepted world-

wide as authority on Vedic Astrology uses transits both ways. I

myself am not clear about my experiences since I do not follow them

very closely, but I also seem to feel that they work both ways.

 

Actually it is not easy to seperate the two, since in most of the

cases, (in vedic astrology at least) when a transiting planet is

aspecting a natal, the natal is also casting an aspect on the

transiting (even though the % effect attributed to that may not be

100% maybe 75% etc. but it is still there--I am not 100% sure of

this since in Vedic we use only very specific %100 aspects but there

are other aspects mentioned, so how shall we distinguish whether

transiting planet is aspecting natal or natal aspecting transiting,

a bit confusing if we do not take into account the houses where the

trans. and natal planets happen to be.

 

Mark is authority on feeling the transits through experience, I

wonder what he thinks;
