Re: 2-Adnan, re.... Rahu and Ketu's Aspects--> To Mark, > from Mark....

Hi Mark,

Thanks a lot for your reply. Yes, I also notice Rahu's aspect on

Moon quite intensly, but then I am not a careful follower about

other aspects e.g. Ketu on Moon, and also about Natal Rahu and Ketu

on Transit Moon, that's why I wanted to ask.

Generally, I notice that Ketu's influence is much 'softer' and after watching the transits,

these many years now, I now, understand why Ketu is described in more positive, and even spiritual terms... then Rahu....

Also, now that I understand Rahu & Ketu better, ie. they both represent the reality of the desire mechanism....

If desires, whether for sex, fame or achievement, dominate over our internal silence, then, rahu/Ketu tend to be malefic,....

But,....if our silence is growing, and the integration of silence along with activity, especially desires, is going on, then, rahu and ketu, won't find a ground for being malefic...

The transits, then, continue to show us, how in-tune we are with these multi-faceted Cosmic forces...

One I guess needs to

watch these things very carefully to get an idea.

Sometimes I get the idea that maybe Natal planets aspecting transit

planets have a more pronounced effect.

Yes, I'd agree, but generally, I find that the size of one's Moon in one's natal chart,

does seem to indicate whether or not one will be affected by the transits, in general.

I find the smaller, and especially the more aggravated one's Moon is, the more intensely do the transits effect one.

Also, one's Saturn or internal balance has a lot to do with how much one gets thrown off by the transits....

So, yes, it makes sense, what you say, about the natal planets should be influencing our experiences of the transits, too.

It all, goes along with a desire I've been having of late, to start more regularly to connect the transits, to the areas of the dasas and our charts, as well.

You bring up a good point.

And, I think most of the people who are one my lists, have been on them long enough that it might be a good time to start reflecting on this...!

At the time I was writing the message, actually Moon for me was

going through natal Ketu's 9th. aspect,

You mean when Moon was in the same house as Ketu, the other day, both in Libra?

this is some time later than

Rahu transit aspecting Moon transit in Sagitarius (due to the

timezone etc.),

The differences in time zone, are only an hour different, and let's see, I would think that you

were about 8 or 9 hours ahead of where I am here in the central US,... you being in Turkey,...

I mean...

I had a little weird experience which I thought was

about Ketu's aspect but I was not sure, also other aspects going on,

like Mars in sagitarius etc.

Yes, I too, experienced a greater intensity, this time, when Moon went into Rahu's 9th house

aspect because of the presence of Mars...

And it's quite wonderful to watch these influences more closely, because then, as the Moon was more directly moving across Mars' path, also being in Sagittarius,... I noticed that uniquely predictable, Marish quality,...come...and then, go...as Moon continued moving through Sagittarius...

These experiences will help us a lot to pick and choose more positive qualities of each month, and truely understand part of why people go beserk at such specific times, and to then, not take 'their' ravings, too seriously, just because they're coming at such predictable times!

So let's see... Well things have been pretty much usual, mostly

involved with Jyotish in my spare time.

Hope you are doing also very fine,

Best wishes from Istanbul,

Glad to hear it.

I'm working on my Jyotish book this Winter.

I'm really enjoying how it's beginning to come together...

It seems, finally after these last couple of years, that I really have a better feeling for what I really wanted to be saying....

I'm also beginning to look forward to Spring, we had our first 50degree day the other day, and everyone felt soooo happy....

Feels like Spring is right around the corner...

I'm also going to be writing an article on Jupiter/Saturn, over the next 5 years, to give people definite ideas how they'll be influencing each other, and the overall, general progress and prosperity of our entire World....

The most recent Jupiter & Saturn, collision of 1999/2000, which caused, literally, the World-wide, mini-recesssion we've been experiencing,....

really has been clinging on, way too long!

ehhehe

So, now, I'm beginning to see the beginning of the end of it,...

at least for a number of years, then....

so that should be wonderful.... for everyone in the World...

I finally am getting Saturn,.....

Saturn teaches us about what life is like, when we're not so in-tune with it...

Those who are already more balanced,...and there may be 1/2 of 1% maybe!

heheheh

these people don't experience the earth shaking shifts, like the rest of us...

But, now, I much more deeply appreciate the positive sides of Saturn,....

inner silence and balance.... and consequencial, attunement, of that Silence with each and every aspect of outer life....

Is Saturn's wish for us all.....

Jupiter was so much easier for me,...

but my Jupiter was born that way,.... and though I enjoyed it's benefits, ....tremendously....

that wasn't where I needed to grow...

So, now, after almost 14 years of my Saturn Mahadasa, I can truthfully say, that I'm really much more in-love with Saturn.....then ever before...

Now, I realize we all need to have strong Wisdom....of both Saturn & Jupiter.... to live a more

happy, progressive,....and prosperous, life...

Jai Guru.

Adnan.

Hi Again, Dear Mark,

So wonderful to communicate as always with you, and on such a

magnificent subject....mimmmm.....Grahas and us....

Thanks a lot for your notes again on Saturn, a big YES I agree with

you. Shani Deva likes to make certain that we get the lesson....it

is not like Jupiter, that you can do this or that and get away with

it. When it is Shani time....better be careful, he is not a

symphatetic teacher (at least as it appears to be).

Oh, by the way, could I express myself clearly? When I mentioned

Moon was going through Natal Ketu's 9th. aspect, I meant; My natal

Ketu is in Aries, so casting an aspect (9th.) on Sagitarius, and as

Moon was transiting Sagitarius, I assume She is being aspected by

Natal Ketu? Do you agree that there is an influence as such.

I mean do you consider aspects between natal planets and transiting

planets affecting each other, I have a feeling that they do, anyway

classical Jyotishis as you know use these.

By the way, I now realise that I misled you, since you probably do

not have natal Ketu in Aries, so how can you feel such an

effect....he he hehe.....he.....

It is wonderful to talk to you, since your enjoyment of life shines

through your messages, take care,

Arrive Derchi, Adnan.

And All Glory to Our Guru.

Hey Adnan ...

The transiting planet affects the natal planet, not the other way around. A

trine from the Moon wouldn't be strongly felt, anyway, if at all.

Transiting trines from Jupiter, esp when retro, are powerful.

Hi Bettina,

Thanks for your reply and reminder,

I am mentioning about Vedic astrology.

May I humbly disagree;

At least one good friend of mine, who happens to be accepted world-

wide as authority on Vedic Astrology uses transits both ways. I

myself am not clear about my experiences since I do not follow them

very closely, but I also seem to feel that they work both ways.

Actually it is not easy to seperate the two, since in most of the

cases, (in vedic astrology at least) when a transiting planet is

aspecting a natal, the natal is also casting an aspect on the

transiting (even though the % effect attributed to that may not be

100% maybe 75% etc. but it is still there--I am not 100% sure of

this since in Vedic we use only very specific %100 aspects but there

are other aspects mentioned, so how shall we distinguish whether

transiting planet is aspecting natal or natal aspecting transiting,

a bit confusing if we do not take into account the houses where the

trans. and natal planets happen to be.

Mark is authority on feeling the transits through experience, I

wonder what he thinks;

Adnan.

Hi Bettina,

One further thought, I also used to think, natals would not aspect

transits, based on the thinking/feeling that natals are not active

like the transits are. But natal planets signify sensitive points in

the zodiac for the person, as well as the places where they aspect,

so when a transit comes to a sensitive point where a natal is

aspecting, there should be some interaction, how is this logic?

Adnan.
