In the beginning 'one' doesn't quite know 'why' and 'where' the different influences come from. I always like to remind people there are generally, only 3 aspects of our Jyotish, that determine what our experiences are! First, there are these Transits. These often, are the most obvious, since they're the most concrete and 'out there', so to speak. These effects change so often that fairly quickly one begins to 'see' what really does change. Watch the Transits, especially in light of the Waxing Moon. That's the most powerful of the daily Transits, and the Moon, itself acts as a kind of 'beacon' or transceivor of the other Cosmic rays. After that, there are the dasas. We will experience those as well. Though they tend to be slightly more sublte, not changeing as quickly as the transits, but still having a very important effect and role in our every day life. Then, of course, there's the influence of our very charts. This represents our mind & body and nervous system through which we choose to either stay on a good routine or work to hard. During a similar dasa period for example, we can choose to stay up to late and work too hard, and find ourselves feeling 'grief' or joy, that transcends the influences of the other two! Now, that's the really fascinating part of Jyotish! How we can literally, function beyond the negative influences of either the dasas or transits. But, finding out how much we're under the grip of the typical negative forces 'out there', and which of our planets are malefic, or functionally acting malefically, ? Is a great next question! Nice hearing from you. Take care Mark Kincaid
