Guest guest
Dear Tikana: Jyotish says that all Planets and their consequences represent the various 'karmas' that we've come in with in this life. In that regard, 'curses' would be more like the 'malefic' Planetary influences, though I don't think Jyotish or Vedic Science, of which Jyotish is a part, believes in something which isn't our creation. I think generally we consider a 'curse' as something that someone else put upon us, and therefore, we didn't deserve. But, the Ved's belief in 'karma' is very similar to the West's belief in as we sow so shall we reap. The most important thing, however, is not what we've been cursed about, or is negative in our lives, but,.... rather, what can we do to transform ourselves into our better selves. Guest guest
Dear Mark I agree with you. I do believe people do things against us intentionally and unintentionally. Does it work? 1st hand experience, yes it does. .. how does it happen? i have no idea. this brings me to another a thought to think about. i will try to explain and phrase a question. (my natal merc is messed up at explaining) parrallel univese sort of ... here is your chart. transit planets are going fine. no problems. all of a sudden some freak decides to have someone to cast a bad spell or something. a person cannot just cast a spell and turn everything upside down. right? thanks Gennie Dear Tikana: Jyotish says that all Planets and their consequences represent the various 'karmas' that we've come in with in this life. Guest guest
Gennie, I agree with Mark, who emphasizes the transformative potential in our charts. And I believe, you are also right: nobody could curse someone, when this wouldn't be according to their karmas. I found one chapter in Maharishi Parashara's most important Jyotish scripture about curses, but it only deals with circumstaces, which cause a person to remain without a son. I found one interresting verse there: " Goddess Parvati said to Lord Shiva. O my Lord! What is the sin, which causes destruction of children amongst men. Please tell me, what are the Yogas for such an effect and what are the remedial measures to protect the children? " 1st - you can see, that indeed a curse is due to a sin (=karma). 2nd - immediately, the question for remedies (=transformative aspect) is raised.
