Hi Mark and Group,

 

Okay - a brief intro.... I am currently working as a psychic reader

as well as a web site designer and graphic artist, living in Sarasota,

Florida. I have been interested in the metaphysical since I was about

15 - many, many moons ago! I've been studying astrology on and off

for just a few years now, so my knowledge is very limited. I have

recently become interested in Jyotish Astrology as I'm very interested

in learning why the financial and relationship areas of my life have

become dead, so to speak. I've lost clients recently and have not

even had one date in months. So I'm lurking here trying to learn as

best as I can. I find that I learn astrology more easily when I can

relate it to my own chart as well as those that I know well. I'm

looking forward to learning more from all of you!

The lat. and long. are: 74w24; 40n38

Plainfield, New Jersey is near Newark and New York City.

 

This should help your calculations be more accurate as I have Aquarius

rising, Jupiter in 7th, etc.

The difference is there for using different zodiacs, tropical and sidereal, it seems.

 

By the way, most of the things I see from her chart do not match, and proves completely opposite [from her feedback]. This is very rare in my life. Diane are you sure about your birth data, esp the time? What is the source?

Thank you so much for questioning my birth time. I got out the piece

of paper that I have from the city where I was born, and it stated

that I was born at 11:48 a.m., not 11:42 a.m. Not much of a

difference, but it might make a little difference. I've uploaded the

updated chart to the Files section.

Hi again Sanjeev,

 

Yes, DST was applicable at my year of birth. It was formally adopted

in the United States in 1918, but has not been used consistently since

then. I found a good web site with some info on it:

Evidently, during some years it was used year round, some years it

wasn't used at all, some states don't use it at all, etc. Quite

confusing! So you are wise to ask, but yes, it looks like it was in

effect at my time of birth.
