During transits of planets, which one either Lagna or Moon be considered as the starting house?

 

 

 

Dear Nita:

 

Traditionally, you see, in Eastern Astrology, especially, that the Houses, from the Moon's Sign, putting the Moon Sign, in the first House, .... is the traditional way of looking at the Transits.

 

I also noticed that 'Jyotish' said one could look at the Transits, from the Rasi or Lagna, First House, as well.

 

When I started looking at that, I immediately noticed that this was dramatically, more vivid, and even could be experienced in my body.

 

I'll give one example.

 

I have a Libra Rising...according to my Rasi chart, with the Moon in Virgo in my 12th house.

 

Therefore when you look at my Rasi chart, Taurus, the Sign of Exaltation for the Moon, is in the 8th House, whereas, if you look at the Moon Chart, with Virgo in the Rising, Taurus goes into my 9th House.

 

When I watch the Moon, which is the most powerful, of the Transits....happening Waxing and Waning each day,...

well, not as powerful as the Sun, perhaps, but still very signficant...

 

but, when I watch the Moon, each month, go into it's Sign of Exaltation, it's often experienced for me, as kind of minor, even weak, certainly not as powerful as I'd expect.

 

But, when the Moon moves into Gemini, I notice that transit, each month is extremely vivid, strong, and full of .....ummph!....

 

So, I experience that the Rasi Chart, is a more accurate,...way of looking at the Transits...
