Guest guest
Dear Voja: Ahhhh, very good question... Transformation,....means simply.... change.... And tranformative change, means change that's in a progressive or evolutionary direction. There is physical change, as in growing up.... And there is Psychological change or transformation. I use the word 'transformation', because it's so sorely, misunderstood, in the field of Astrology, especially Jyotish. Jyotish has tended to forget that change, transformation and growth, are in the very nature of life. Unfortunately, Jyotish has beomce very stuck in the too rigid, fatalistic, or deterministic, aspects of Astrology or Saturn. In our present age, we're very fortunate, because the emphasis on good Jupiter, transformation, is coming back... You said: do you mean psychological transformations caused by understanding of our charts, our shubha/papa grahas, or traditional jyotish remedies-gems, specified mantra japa, fasting on specified day...? Yes, transformations do cover all manners of traditional remedies, as you mentioned,... but! the most powerful, Jyotish remedy, which is the mind itself,....is sorely,.... not included... For example the most powerful Psychological remedy is the technique of 'meditation'. The whole field of yoga, which emphasized meditation, so much, hasn't been adequately connected with Jyotish,... when in fact, meditation can improve literally every aspect of body and mind, which immediately improves all the planets and especially the functioning of the Sun and Moon! My particular interest in Jyotish has been in the realm of Psychological 'remedies'. One of my insights has been into the nature of the 'malefics' in Jyotish. Normally, Jyotish malefics are thought of as the 'bad guys',.... unchangeable, really,.... and the source of all our griefs, sufferings and challenges.... In truth, these malefics in our charts, also represent those very areas, that need to be changed, and therefore represent the opportunities, .... or areas....that we should be changeing... Someone has Moon & Saturn together in their charts, and though they have tremendous Saturn grief, loneliness, even depression, etc.... And whereas, normally, Jyotish says,....Saturn is a malefic,... in truth, 'nature' through Saturn is trying to show us, the consequences of our actions... And when we immediately, begin to learn how to strength Sani,.....immediately, our Moon's, quickly reflect back that change, or growth,...ie....'transformation'.... and we immediately....feel better,....less sadness, loneliness.... and in fact.... inner joy! hope this answers your question... Sincerely, Mark Kincaid " Voja " <vojatrajananda Sun, 26 Sep 2004 19:50:36 +0200 " " 2 Mark, hallo and question Dear Mark, these days I was busy, but I like what I could see on list. I like to see this point of view on Jyotish. But can you please explain me what do you mean when you say-Transformation-do you mean psychological transformations caused by understanding of our charts, our shubha/papa grahas, or traditional jyotish remedies-gems, specified mantra japa, fasting on specified day...?
