Guest guest
Dear Friends: Here's my Introduction to myself, which I hope everyone else will consider doing in our Group. (sorry, it's a little long, but thought some of you might like to know, since I've been starting these groups....) ciao.... ((Hope you all, will consider, sending in Intros, regarding your backgrounds, and interests and experiences in Astrology, West & East....)) My earliest memory of appreciating the Stars, came when I was in high school. My parents gave me a telescope, and I spent many a nite, watching the Moon, especially, and as many other planets as I could find. There was something magical, looking out into the Cosmos, through that telescope. I was hooked! Then, in college, having basically forgotten about my earlier experiences, I came across this magazine that said: " Send away for your Astrological chart! " So I did, and about 2 - 3 weeks later received this 20 page description all about me! This was 1970. Wow, was that fun. And it went into all this great detail about how there was something called a Moon sign. I had thought there was only a Sun sign, of course. And, there was something called a Rising Sign, and on and on. I was not prepared for this immediate, intimate experience, of feeling,...'wow',.... and ... 'ahaaaa', as I read so many things about my chart. This was my Western chart, and still I was amazed at how much more close it fit me then the old Sun Sign books I'd read or horoscopes, in the daily papers. I then spent the next several years reading everything I could about my Western chart. Again, I was amazed at how often I'd feel this strange, but exciting, tingle going up and down my spine as I'd read about what such and such a person, with Moon in Libra, was supposed to be like... Then, I forgot again, about 'Astrology', until 1988, when I was attending an Ayurvedic course in India, in January. It was primarily an Ayurvedic course, but at the very end, they surprised us with a 5 day special Jyotish extension. " Ayurveda and Jyotish, go hand and hand " , someone said. The course itself, about the Planets, Houses and Signs, was interesting but kind of like information over kill. Fortunately, I had read a lot about these Astrological ideas, many years before. The best part, however, was we'd hear lectures on the power and majesty of Jyotish from famous Vedic Scholars and Jyotishees. I never knew this, but in India, they think of Astrology in much more serious terms. There are, in fact, departments of Astrology, .... called Jyotish, in many bonifide, Universities, and college campuses. Jyotish, for them is an aspect of a broader field of Consciousness study, called the Ved. Vedic Knowledge someone said: " Ved is cognition of pure intelligence! " And Jyotish was supposed to be the 'eye' of the Ved. Well, I was a Philosophy & Education teacher in college, so I was blown away. I could hardly wait to get back to the states and start studying this new Eastern Astrology... or Jyotish. Oh, yea, another great expression I'd heard was: " You will be your own best Jyotishee " . I didn't take that, too personally, however, because I was only 1 out of 450 other course participants. In fact, I felt fairly inadequate at being able to master this great field, but I was encouraged that I was supposed to at least try. One of the things I'd learned in India, was how to feel the 'Ayurvedic pulse'. This involves taking three fingers, and feeling the pulse, at the wrist. If I could learn that!, ..... how difficult could Astrology be? hehhe.... Then, began the study, that was going to completely, change my life. I'd been studying Consciousness, myself, since 1971, but I was totally unprepared for the power and majesty that studying Jyotish would bring. My first experience came after about 2 years of very exciting, vigorous study. I couldn't get enough of the books, and discussions with friends all about Astrology, and especially Jyotish. Then, one day, I was looking at my hand, and pondering my chart. Then, all of a sudden, like a 'white light', crashing into my consciousness... I realized.... that everything I knew about myself.... my nature, personality, mental habits, relationship with parents, siblings, friends,... college courses, career choices,... health,.... spiritual nature.... everything I knew about myself,....I knew what part of the Jyotish chart, corresponded with each and every one of my human characteristics... And I had this...'boom'.....of 'aha'..... and in that one moment, I realized...that 'I'.... and therefore, everyone, is sooo beautifully, and profoundly understood, and captured by the details of their Jyotish charts! That was the first milestone, in my Jyotish experience... Then, a couple of years later,.... as I grew upon this amazing realization of the literal '1 to 1 Correspondence'...between ourselves and our Astrological charts.... under aha, came to me! Previously, I had noticed that in most of the Eastern Astrology books I'd read, there would be about 195 pages about the 'Jyotish' and then, at the end, kind of like, tacked on, like an after thought, would be 5 pages of Remedial Measures. Then, it occurred to me. This proportion is all wrong. It should be more like 50-50%! It really doesn't matter, how much time you spend discovering the intimate ways in which our charts fit us,...but... what really does matter is.... what the 'heck' can we do about it, now! In other words, it's not enough that we see our problems, challenges, sufferings, griefs, and frustrations... What really matters is what can we do to change these 'realities'... And even, can they be changed? Thus, began my real research in Jyotish. Now, so many years later, after many, many days, weeks, and now, years.... of research,... I can say, with a lot of joy and happiness... Jyotish is more about those things that we can 'do', that'll directly improve, transform, and even change our Stars! Now, I know what one of the India Vedic 'yogis' meant when he said: " Don't take your charts, like they're written in stone, they're just the state of your Physiology, at birth. " Now, I know that Jyotish is all about how to literally change any and every area of weakness, unhappiness, sadness, and suffering! Jyotish, in fact, is a great science of All Possibilities! Jyotish, now, I see, is the Ultimate, self-improvement technology! Having studied all kinds of Philosophy in my early college, and then, later, studied, all manners of self-improvement Philosophies, now, I realize.... Jyotish is the best! All others, all forms of self-improvement, even, can be found in one or other, of the many branches of Jyotish, including Houses, which represent all the different areas of life.... God is in the 9th House,.... Jyotish is in the 8th... Ayurved is in the 6th House, Education is in the 5th.... Now I see why Jyotish is described as the 'eye' of the Ved...... About 5 years ago, I started to get my first glimmer, that everyone must know about this great field. Not, only how great it's been, but, now,.... how great this new, revised Jyotish is. Jyotish can lead the way into a real modern science of Astrology. That's when I came up with the expression; 'Nature's Astrology'.... There is an Astrology, 'out there', which as it turns out, .... is a kind of combination of Western & Eastern Astrologys, and Astronomy,....all rolled into one.... Nature's Astrology, then, is dedicated to discovering the 'bests' of Western & Eastern branches. They are in fact, in 'that' Astrology which is 'out there', and is in truth, the real, Astrology. Nature's Astrology is neither Western or Eastern,...but includes the essence of both. Finally, I realized I wanted to create a business, hence,....Starlight Unlimited, that could formulate and create specific programs to bring out the essence, and all the great details, about the applications of Jyotish/Astrology,...to every aspect of life! Now, 'we're' in the process of developing Adult education courses, teaching self-awareness due to Jyotish. Remember the scene in the original Matrix movie, where the Oracle, lady says to Neo: " See that sign behind you? It's Greek. It mean's Know Thyself! " Which is fact was the original expression of the Greek Oracle at Delphi. Then, one day, I was watching another movie, " Unbreakable " , with Bruce Willis, and Samuel Jackson, where,...at the very end, he says: " Do you know what the scariest thing is? To not know your place in this world,.... to not know why you're here, ....that's just an awful feeling... I almost gave up hope,.. There were so many times ...I questioned myself... but I found....(and here let's say Jyotish).... ...... & Now.... I know who I am...! I'm not a mistake.... It all makes sense! " To me this has been my experience, as I know it's growing in a lot of you, too. When I was young I had many challenges, griefs, and sadnesses,.... ahh... Moon in 12th with Saturn, and Moon only 1 house away from the Sun in the 11th.... but,...I had one blessing.... I believed that there was an answer.... So, I sought, and sought, and strived....to know and discover.... And 'life', the true, 'Guru' of the Universe..... lead me on.... to discover these and many more wonderful insights into life,.... through this great knowledge... Sorry, I've run on, so long... But, I though some might want to know, what is this particular Jyotish/Astrology, that is coming from this Mark Kincaid, character,...hhehehe.... take care and thank you all for participating in this wonderful, life, experience,...within yourselves,... and especially, with me....and all the others....in these groups... and in the future! The World, drastically, needs this Wisdom.... 100% of all of life's problems can now, be solved by the application of Great Jyotish! people should know this! Jai Guru! Sincerely, Mark Kincaid
