Guest guest
Dear Vinay: Practical experience indicates that the navamsa chart is both a good indicator of one's 'special karmas' for partnerships, and yet, the Navamsa chart is also supposed to reflect more special information about one's own Lagna, chart. When you want to look at your own chart, you look at all the Planets in your Rasi, or Lagna chart. Then, you can also look at the state of the Planets in the Navamsa chart too. Let's say your Mars is in Cancer, in your Lagna chart, but when you look at the Navamsa chart, it's in Exaltation, in Capricorn. So, you then, add the two 'qualities' of the two configurations together, and that composite, is supposed to be a more accurate description of the real 'starting' strength of your Mars. It's the same idea, behind looking at the shad bala system. That also looks at any Planet but from the point of view of 6 of the divisional charts. So, even if a planet is weak in the Lagna, or Navamsa charts, it might pick up more strength when you look at the Shad bala, strength.... Though don't forget, grasping what is the overall or specific strength of every planet, is only just the beginning... It's also just as important that we investigate into what I like to call the 'Transformative' aspect of Jyotish,.... in other words, to learn how to strengthen and improve any planet, regardless of how we started, at birth! hope this helps.. Mark Kincaid ps... Oh, yes, #2, we then can look at the Navamsa chart, to see, what our initial 'karma' is in regards to our 'mates' or partnerships.. First we look at the 7th House in our Lagna charts,... Then, we look at the 7th House Lords.... Then, we look at any planets in the 7th House, or any planets aspecting the 7th House, or the 7th house Lord. Then, we look at the same, 7th House in the Navamsa chart, and the 7th House lord there, etc. The Navamsa, and other divisonal charts, bring out more subtle aspects of our Astrological nature. This is especially important in the different areas of life, like 1) Navamsa, partnershiping, or Other divisional charts, for example with siblings & parents.... Also, exceptions like 'twins', are looked at in terms of their subtleties of their divisional charts... Twins, for example, have much the same in their Rasi & Navamsa charts, and it's only by going more indepth with their divisional charts, that their subtle differeneces and uniquenesses, can be seen. vinay khatri <vinay76 Sat, 25 Sep 2004 10:27:54 -0700 (PDT) Navamsa Chart Hi All, Can someone throw some light on significance of navamsa chart ?
