Hi Everyone,

I'm posting this message on a few astrological lists because I've found the

program to be so much fun to use. This isn't an ad!

Astrologer Diana Rosenberg has been tracking mundane events against the

stars and constellations for a long, long time. I've just purchased a newly

revised (2003) sky program that's absolutely wonderful for showing the

starry background of the astrological signs. This is the first low cost

astronomy program I've seen that can be set for the ecliptic grid (Tropical

signs) and even sub-divided into decans if you wish.

The program is a wonderful way to see which planets conjoin which stars in

the context of zodiac signs either for personal charts or for mundane

events, past or present. Sky printouts are very nice and very fast to

print. Two printed pages (set for 'zenith') will give you the entire sky

for any date all the way from the ecliptic to the poles with

constellations, planets and stars.

From the current skymap I noted that Saturn is now conjunct Pollux. Pollux

is of the nature of Mars: the Russian school incident, strong quakes and

typhoons in Japan, hurricanes in Florida, continued bloodshed in Iraq, etc.

Watching mundane events is a wonderful way to track the probable influence

of the actual stars.

SkyMap is totally user-configurable, down to the size and color of the

stars, constellational lines, location on earth, time period (4000 BC to

8000 AD), zoom level, grids (RA/DEC, Azimuth/altitude [see where the M.C.

is in relation to the equal house 10th cusp], Ecliptic grid), day,

twilight, night skies with true star colors, star catalogs, deep sky

objects, etc. etc., all for only $39.99. (This is for SkyMap Lite 2003.

Only dedicated students of the sky with telescopes will want SkyMap Pro10

for around $100...)

No, I don't work for the SkyMap company. I just love this program that's

perfect for astrologers. I learned that the author of the program doesn't

care much for astrology, but so what? It's still a great program for us! If

anyone buys the program and has questions, I'll be happy to answer them,

and there is also a discussion list linked to the site.

Blessings,

Therese
