I am Sumanth and i have completed my B.E in Mechnical, i want to know what combination of planets in one " s horoscope make him an astrologer/believer of Astrology. Since many of my friends will always laughs at me when i talk about astrology, sometimes i feel very much embrassed and every body kindle me that being a science student u ar believing in astology .Till a year back i never used to believe in astrology but suddenly Astrology has become everything for me and i started learing astrology by reading astrology articles.

 

Sir i am sending my Birth details please tell me which combintation of planets in my horoscope made me to believe in Astrology.

Dear Sumanth:

 

Many people do feel, strange and prejudiced towards Astrology, and part of the reason is because 'modern science' has not made much headway in the 'mental sciences', like Psychology.

 

Many Psychologists are looked down to by Physical Scientists, like Chemists, and Physicists.

 

Hopefully, in the future, we'll realize that Jyotish or Astrology is nothing less than an amazing insight into the nature of mind and Consciousness.

 

After some time, studying Astrology I realized, 'why Astrology', because we live in an Astrological Universe.

 

We always have and we always will!

 

We live in a Universe, in a Cosmic environment, in which the Stars and Sun, Planets, even Constellations, do in fact, create our Worlds.

 

What will also help is when we show that Astrology is a bonifide, true Science.

 

And how can we do this?

 

By showing that every rule, principle, and 'belief' in Astrology is 'verifiable'.

 

Take the Moon, for example.

 

The Moon's supposed to be reflective of one's 'emotional nature', mind, feelings and intuition, in life.

 

All we need to do, is collect 1,000 random people, give them a modern Psychological battery of questions, designed to determine 'emotional strength or stability', and we should find a very high correlation between their emotional maturity and the size and quality of the Moon, at their time and day of birth.

 

Keep going.

 

Astrology especially Eastern Astrology, or Jyotish is an amazing 'true science', and some day, people will realize it.

 

I, however, also believe, God created this scientific age so we would develop 'reason', and 'verifiability', which has helped Humanity tremendously to discover what was really 'True'.

 

Before science, many peoples would debate whether the World was flat, or the Earth was the center of the Universe.

 

We need to show that Astrology can stand up to all the tests and methods of validation, in modern terms.

 

It will though, Jyotish/Eastern Astrology, are still much about our mental, or Psychological natures as well as our Physical selves!

ps..... There are a number of Astrological configurations that might reflect a keen interest in Astrology. A good Jupiter is #1. Also, strong 8th Houses or 8th House lords, is also very indicative.

 

In your case, Jupiter in Scorpio, is indicative of a strong, 'researching' kind of nature.

 

Also, both Jupiter and Saturn, the two greatest Spiritual planets, both, aspect Cancer, the home of the mind, which is also Jupiter's home of Exaltation.

 

All, very good 'Astrological' aspects.

 

One final thought, your Sun and Mercury in Aquarius, both, reflect a very unconventionally creative person.

 

Good qualities for studying Jyotish, especially when it's in it's present, 'unconventional' stage.

 

Your Moon in Capricorn, though it can 'care or be influenced', by what other people think, can also be used to bring Astrology to the 'conventional' kinds of people.

Hello All,

 

I am new to the group. Would like to share my experience. I used to beleive in astrology as many predictions made by astrologers were true, but I never ventured in learning astrology myself until I started by Ketu sub period (in Rahu dasa). I have virgo lagna.

 

I have read somewhere that apart from the major planets (jupiter/saturn), ketu also can cause interest in astrology. In my chart ketu is placed in 8th house, jupiter in 9th, saturn in 11th house.
