Guest guest
Mark, I was reading one of the comments about not looking at eclipses > because they're malefic. You know I did just that this week when I saw > the news on TV about Venus " like a dot in the sun " because I didn't know > that it was an eclipse. I thought eclipses were only between the sun > and the moon. Mistake of the intellect, of course, and I even looked > directly at the sun with a telescope looking for the dot. What malefics could happen by looking at eclipses?... > Also thanks for the long talk, all the wisdom and advice the other day. > I forgot to ask on his dasa that following KE 2001(which you talked > about) is Ve 2008 to Su 2028, etc.. Anyway this week has > been good, tender, tactile and loving. Socorro.... > Dear Socorro: Eclipses are mostly used to connotate.... whenever.... 1) the Moon is either between the EArth and the Sun.... which is a Solar Eclipse.... or 2) when the Earth.... is between the Sun...and the Moon,...which is a Lunar Eclipse.... IN the first case, it always happens when it's both a New Moon,...and when the Sun and Moon, are either with RAhu or Ketu.... Rahu and Ketu are very closely associated with the eclipses.... the other,..... #2...is a Lunar eclipse.... which always follows on a Full Moon... and it's literally the Earth...that's standing in the way of our perception of the Full Moon.... The Earth...is then, eclipsing...the Sun's rays.... I don't think it's quite aaccurate to call these Venus, or Mercury,.... combustions.... as being eclipses..... It's Westerners, that say it like that... In any case, it's certainly not that the Sun is being eclipsed.... but Venus is certainly....being overwhelming to poor Venus... the signification of any planet getting too close to the Sun, like this... is called 'combustion' in Jyotish....and typically the significations of that Planet... In this case, Venus...are temporarily...weak,...or lost to us.... because of the overwhelming effect of the bright rays of the Sun... think of Venus, in this case, as a single candle... and holding up that single candle in front of the emmense,.... millions of candles.....Sun.... and you'll get how the Venus get's lost... hope this helps... love Mark > > Mark, I was reading one of the comments about not looking at eclipses > because they're malefic.
