Guest guest
Dear Janna: My experience indicates that when a malefic transit, also concurrently run's over one's Natal Moon, then 'that' experience tends to be even more 'intense'. But, if we're moving ourselves in the direction of literally transforming...the malefic moments, then, we can experience the positive side....of anything! Take for example, your 'Moon-Rahu' example. Generally, most people will experience something negative or malefic due to the Moon's close proximity to Rahu. Then, even, Rahu dasa periods and especially Rahu/Moon, transits, will also be negative or malefic. But, once we get the point, and we begin to adjust appropriately, we can turn any malefic situation around! In fact, this is what we're supposed to be doing. We're going to fast in life, and we're having accidents... Sure, we can find the malefic Mars either in our Charts, Dasas or Transits, and that can help us !) Understand why we're having accidents.... But, really, what we really want to do is stop having accidents! And that's Mar's malefic job, to show us, give us a concrete expression of how we're doing with our Marish actions... And if we're going too fast, having accidents, having cuts, bruises, or even burns... that's Nature telling us we're going too fast! and our Mars is acting or functioning ...malefically! But, immediately, if we heed this..and slow down,...the tendency to have accidents can be avoided. Like this, think of the/your Moon & Rahu, conjunctions. Rahu has a particular Astrological symbolism that once we come to understand; we can turn that, typically, malefic situation around too. And yes, I think the 5th, 7th & 9th House aspects of Rahu, can also be found radiating into our different Houses, as it's found transiting. Recently, Rahu was in my 9th House, and then 8th House, and today, it's supposed to be going through my 7th House... And wow, can I feel that difference! Also, regarding your question of Mars moving from Gemini into Cancer for a Cancer Rising person. It's an interesting question. My experience is that Mars tends to be acting Malefically both in the 12th House and in Cancer. I've got Mars in Cancer in my 10th House in my natal chart, so I have some experience with this!, hehe. Tell me again how strong, or positive, malefic or benefic is your Natal Mars? If your Mars is fairly balanced, you might experience less of the negative experiences of either Mars moving through your 12th house, or being debilitated in Cancer. However, what I like to suggest, is watch and see what's happening and if you find yourself, either being too Marish,....(ie. Mars in the first) ...or finding yourself in situations where you're wondering if you should be standing up for yourself, more!... this is often Mars in Cancer's situation.... then, you'll know what the effect will be. Jyotish says we should look at two primary aspects to every transit... #1, in importance is the House that a planet is in. The idea is that the House position, is in some ways, more important than the Sign... though... #2, one also does need to take into account that Sign, because it does make a difference... Hope this helps... ciao Mark K. ps.... nice quote!...where does that come from? Who said it? " Janna Lynn " <jnanalynn Sat, 12 Jun 2004 13:52:32 -0000 Rahu-Moon Dear Mark: June 13 TR Moon in Aries conjuncts TR Rahu at 16 degrees. This is almost exact my natal moon over the next couple of weeks. What is the significance of a Moon-Rahu combustion in general and also when it conjoins a native's natal moon? Would the combustion also have a 5th, 7th, and 9th house effect since it involves Rahu? Second, on June 14 as the Sun moves into Gemini, Mars moves into Cancer. Although Mars is debilitated in Cancer, would this have a benefic (or malefic) effect for a Cancer lagna? Janna " Become Buddha - Sit still and listen to your inner wisdom.
