Dear Surya:

 

What a curious question?

 

What I've learned from Jyotish, is that our charts are not just an

indication of our fate....

 

plusses and minuses....strengths and weaknesses...

 

but...

 

our charts are also indicative of what we've come to do...

in this life....

 

 

In other words what our opportunities are....

 

and what our challenges are...

 

Jyotish also has this fabulous Philosophy of Benefics and Malefics...

 

to create a value system regarding what is positive and negative...

or right and wrong.

 

It's right for example to have an Exalted Moon, or strong, big, Moon...

Intuition will be good and profound for such people, and as a result it's a

comfort to know that one's feelings and intuition are something one can take

advantage of...

 

However, many have small Moons in their charts, or maleficly

placed,...either by house or aspect of 'malefic' planet....

or in wrong sign, in Scorpio for example as in the last few days...

 

This too, in fact, all malefic situations are here to show us where and how

we've 'gone wrong in the past'....

 

or.... maybe just our present state of evolution....

 

So....the Malefic vs. Benefic Jyotish system.... is first of all to help us

discriminate better....in this life...

 

Once we know some of our habits or mental patterns.....are 'malefic'...then

we can re-think those aspects of ourselves.... that are stemming from or

aspected by Malefic associations...

 

The reason?

 

Because Life is about growth and evolution...

 

And Jyotish is fundamentally about growth and evolving....in this and every

life...

 

Our Malefics represent those areas, primarely, where we've come to improve,

grow...and even transform...ourselves....

oh, yes...ps.... It also occurs to me, that this Malefic/Benefic system....

 

is also the way Nature thinks..

 

Nature doesn't want us to have accidents...

 

Nature, or Mars, giving us accidents, is just 'Nature's' way of showing us

our motor coordination or activities....are out of sync.... or going too

fast....

 

And as we adjust.....in other words...we heed the Wisdom...of one of our

Malefics...

 

then, our path, our activities....smooth out.... and we fulfill the purpose

of action....much more easily and naturally...

 

To do this, we will find that turning a Malefic Mars situation into a more

benefic one, means that we will completely turn around...the poorly

operating quality of actions leading to mistaken accidents...

 

So, we transform our Malefics into strengths....or Benefics.... as a sign or

signature of growth and evolution....
