Guest guest
I agree with you about Saturn/Shiva. I have S right on asc and in Ardra no less (a nak. associated with Shiva, or Rudra, which seems like a chaotic aspect of Shiva) and have always (since I've known about such things) felt that I have "a lifetime in which Shiva is operative". Plans getting turned topsy turvy, unexpected changes, major problems, but it seems with a solution just when I think there is no hope. I feel as though I've been forced to look at reality, existence, for what it really is, and not what I might want it to be. Some deep despondency and some bursts of intense exhileration and creativity that seem to come from nowhere. Bettina -----Original Message----- Mark Kincaid [m.kincaid] Friday, May 28, 2004 3:51 PM 2-debra, > Mark Kincaid...5/28....re...How do we become moreintune with Saturn? Dear Debra: It's a very important question, and one that I think about every time when writing about Jyotish. Read up on some of the many past star reports..and you'll read many descriptions in more depth. You're prompting me to start a category...on Jyotish Remedies....especially Saturn.... thanks! In general, think of Saturn as representing the poise, the silence, the balance in life... So, even in the middle of a storm, there is some deep, silent, center.... That's Saturn... In Vedic Knowledge sometimes Saturn has been described as Shiva.... which is the essence of pure Silence.... So, anything and everything we can do to develop more inner quietness; meditation, more regular rest....periods.... Anything and everything.... that stirs our inner balance.....strengthens....Saturn... So, things like meditation are crucial for developing Saturn....balance.... The other thing I've noticed,...is that Saturn being the planet associated with balance... also means that rhythms and cycles.... should be balanced too... And for me, watching the daily transits...all these days....and over 16 years now; has shown me...that learning about all these cycles.... and then adjusting...and learning how to be more in-tune with each of them....has helped my Saturn, too! The other day, I thought I could write an article...called: Saturn Cycles: Daily, Monthly and Yearly Cycles..... Being more intune with the daily, Monthly and Yearly cycles....does strengthen Saturn, because the more intune we are with Nature's cycles....the more Saturn is appeased....or lived.... and therefore doesn't need to be malefic! Hope this helps...
