Hi Mark,

Well

I am starting my own running commentary of WOW

directed right at you.

You are very generous with your thoughts and energy in time to once again respond to me and make a lesson out of my own distress or inquiry.

While I was reading the Starlight Unlimited last evening and your breakdown of my post, I could see the hurriness in my statement. The frustration. The anxiety and desperation. Then, the control issues. Hmm, that warrior Mars as much as it keeps me motivated sure can be a negative ploy in survival issues. I take to heart all that you write and share. Sometimes one just needs the feedback and other times as you have proven, a word, a thought a way, can help to direct more positively and with an objective eye more profoundly.

I have noticed too since sharing your birth details that your birthday being only a few weeks after mine is similar in how the planets stack. Any yet, you are just enough away to have houses change with a few planets moving too. so similar but different. But enough, to be close to same wave track. And I bet similar feelings or experiences or should I say close if not same ball park.

Have you noticed on the Group list that there are a number of us that share similar houses with planets. The way they are stacked up. I find that too eerily yet fascinating. We are all just enough different yet the same to help each other out or just plain understand. I wonder if you have found that too.

I haven't taken the time to research when the Group started or who was first and if there were any charts offered with new people or any background. So, I would like to say two things. One - if it hasn't been done, can we as members on the GROUP site page have an area where we can if we choose post birth chart info and any other pertentient info.

This would be fine....

I'll create a special folder in the 'files' section....

let's call it 'Personal Charts & Info' Folder....

Two- could I hear from you more about your interest and background, your book that you are working on and other things. Where and who you studied with. What conferences do you try to attend if any. Who you know in Vedic etc. Where you feel you are today with Astrology as such. how you got started etc. if it's not invading your privacy that is.

No, I'd be happy to tell you.

I've been meditating, (practicing Transcendental Meditation) since 1971, and even became a teacher of TM, in 1973. Over the years I've done a lot of meditation teaching and recently got involved in Ayurved, in the middle to late 80's.....

Then, in 1988, while attending an Ayurvedic Conference near Delhi, India, I got my first real exposure to Jyotish.

Needless to say, I was blown away, and inspired to come back and pick up the personal study.

After about 2 years, I started to have some very profound experiences, and after about 5 years, realized I could be quite good at this.

Then about 5 years ago, while I was doing someone's chart, as I was going through their chart, all of a sudden it occured to me:

'wow.... her chart really fits her!....In fact,....all of our charts fit us!'....

I know that sounds silly because all of us, involved in Astrology and Jyotish, do have this understanding..... but...

when I had this 'aha',...it was also with the realization that the entire rest of our World, is dieing for this kind of clarity, and understanding....and I should write about this..

So, my book; 'The Stars Within'.... was born....

One title, now, another possiblitiy is: " And Wisdom Comes from Jyotish'.... a kind of take off of 'Men are From Mars, and Women, from Venus....'.....

The entire first half of my book is about this realization...that our charts fit us...

I'm also interviewing and using real life charts, people, and their experiences to show these ideas and principles....

The first chapter is called....'1 to 1 Correspondence'.....

then, the last couple of years, I've started to develop a completely different 2nd half of my book on what I like to call Transformative Astrology.

And this is all about the possibility that our Charts are also about what we should and could do to change and literally improve our Planets, charts, and lives!

Now, it's clear to me, that this is the most important part of Jyotish/Astrology...

The primary realization I've had is....:

" the malefics in our charts, though they're commonly thought of as indicative of our problems, challenges, griefs, and losses;....are in fact,...also symbolic...

of our Astrological opportunities...and Solutions!.... "

Think about this one...

There's a lesson in each of our malefics,....that's ....not just the problem....

My Jyotish is almost completely self-taught.

I've read all the prominent Astrologers of our time, and absorbed both Western & Eastern...

but what I've done is apply my meditation, and Consciousness experience...to the entire field of Jyotish with some amazing results....

I haven't really attended many Jyotish conferences..... and instead have been a good example about how one can discover.... life's truths, like Vedic knowledge says.... by going within oneself!

And finally,

where I am today, is in the middle of discovering.....the all-important....Jyotish Transformative part, which is rarely mentioned....

When I first started studying, all the books I would read would have 195 pages on the 'jyotish' and only 5 pages on so-called remedial measures...

Now, I realize it should be more like 50/50....

And that's what I'm going to try and have in my book.

And even more important...then understanding these ideas....

is actually 'practicing'.....these and gaining growth and mastery over one's malefics...

that's the greatest part of my present experience in Jyotish/Astrology.
