Hi Mark. Thanks for your answer. Yes, once Saturn enters Cancer my SS period will be over. There've been a few biggies during this period; my daughter went through a major illness, we moved from my home of 28 years and I have bouts of homesickness, and I had surgery for a precancerous growth, but I've had just as diffucult stuff happen when I wasn't in SS period.

About Saturn transits to Moon ... a lot depends on what else is going on. Like you, I find it a time to be alone, either because I want to be or because circumstances make it so. When Sat. was cnj my Moon back in '71 my second son had just been born and I was spending a lot of time at home with him away from my usual activities. That time, since Jupiter was also throwing a full asp. to the Moon, was a very mellow and sweet one as I was enjoying getting to know my new little boy.

The next Saturn cnj Moon was a different story. That was when my daughter was sick and Pluto was opposing the Moon at the same time. Again, I didn't socialize at all during that period. I had no desire to talk to anyone except doctors. Didn't even correspond with my friends.

Even if a person is on the spiritual track and fairly philisophical about life, it is torment to watch someone you love suffer, esp your child, because there's always the thought that you could have done something to prevent it.

Anyhow, that seems to be how Saturn / Moon works.

.... Bettina

Mark Kincaid [m.kincaid]Friday, May 07, 2004 9:39 AM Subject: 2-Bettina, > Mark K. 5/7....re.... questions sade sat, & Venusconj. & Mars & Saturn collision coming up!Dear Bettina:Sade Sat, is when Saturn is transiting the Sign next to your natal/birth Moon and the Signs on both sides. So, if your moon was in Cancer, then Saturn's present movement into Gemini would be the beginning of this 7 1/2 year cycle. The fact that you're not feeling any worse is a great credit to you. This shows you're already enough in-tune with Saturn that it's transit is not being malefic.Instead Saturn moments, like in Sade Sat or transits or even Saturn dasas, can be more about fulfilling one's desires in more natural, and silent ways....then otherwise.you also asked:

I noticed that when Venus reaches it's station after having gone retrograde, it will be closely cnj my Moon. Does anyone know what that might portend? I've always found that stationary planets are powerful when aspecting natal planets by transit. Normally, conjunctions of 'benefics' like Venus, Mercury, Jupiter and the Moon, are more rosy, than the more functioning malefics like Saturn, Mars, Rahu & Ketu. So, Venus' effect on your Moon will probably be more positive...whether retrograde, stationary or moving direct.Though some subtleties of difference may also be felt.

We can be a little bit happy that when Mars and Saturn are cnj later this month they'll both be direct. Yikes! They'll both be on my natal Saturn and 3 degs from my asc. I'll keep everyone posted. My experience is that each Planetary transit, can be turned into a positive.Normally around Moon & Saturn one's, for example, since I've learned how to be more positive, with Saturn, then, especially on those special,.....Moon & Saturn conjunctions....I'm ready for that influence...I'm more inward, not planning hugely active or outward events, meetings, etc. on those days but more of a restful, rejuvenative mode.As a result those days which used to freak me out, now are more positive...Now, as far as Mars & Saturn coming up, part of the challenge of this, is that Mars is wanting to go ahead, while Saturn's wanting to slow down...This is the inherent tension in this conjunction, and all wrapped around Gemini, so people end up doing way too many things during these times...So, try, not scheduling too many things .... on these couple of day's of the greatest intensity, and be in a more restful mode, and see if that helps!take careMark K.

I'm in Sani Sati right now, have been for approx 5 yrs, and it hasn't been any worse than any other time in my life. Isn't that when Saturn is 45 degs approaching and 45 degs. leaving the degree of the natal Moon?I noticed that when Venus reaches it's station after having gone retrograde, it will be closely cnj my Moon. Does anyone know what that might portend? I've always found that stationary planets are powerful when aspecting natal planets by transit.
