Yes, you're right.

 

And don't forget malefics do well and are well placed in malefic houses,

making that house stronger in a positive way.

 

The 8th is also a very occult house, so a good link here can make one a

tarot reader or an investigator of life's deeper meanings - it carries

something of the flavour of Scorpio.

 

There are many situations where so-called 'malefic' planets, as they're called, being the rulers of the 6th, 8th and 12th Houses....are certainly not acting malefically!

 

In fact I find this notable 'exception' important enough that I'm reminded to mention one of the founders of Jyotish, Maharishi Parashara, who is quoted in his book on Hora Sastra:

 

In the beginning, Lord Vishnu " incarnated as the planets (grahas) to bestow on all living beings, the results of their karmas. "

 

When I started looking at the planets this way, it occured to me, we might want to consider that all planets have a natural beneficness, and it's only are previous use of them, that is causing them to act, 'malefically' to us.

 

If this is true, and it's really possible to strengthen and improve any of our planets, then, it's a much better model to hold the planets as basically, 'good',....

 

and their functional maleficness, is just nature's way of showing us our karmas, as Parshara said.

 

So, why do we need to see or experience an accident which is probably Mars' consequence to us?

 

Because we're not going at the right speed, and this feedback is Nature's way of showing us the quality of our actions.

 

This was we get good feedback from Nature, and can adjust appropriately.

 

 

Unfortunately, so few peole understand this basic, Astrological reality of life and the Universe, and don't know how to better analyse and understand what Nature is saying to us!

 

But, it's my contention that if people can learn just these 9 Jyotish symbolisms; each planet including the Sun, has a very important role in our lives.....

then,....we can really get in-tune with life and be happy and successful!

 

Which after all is the real purpose of life...

 

not to suffer, and just experience the negative repercussion of our past actions...!
