I am in tune with your patient explanations of the transits and after joining the weekly email list, decided to follow the discussion on Nature's Astrology. I began the transcendental spiritual path in the early seventies, initiated into TM mantra, which led me to the study of Kundalini and Tantric Yoga under Yogi Bhajan. Meditation (raj yoga) is the foundation of my practice and has been for 30 years, although I moved to Miami, after 25 years in Santa Fe, New Mexico, to study jnana yoga, the path of wisdom, with Swami Jyotirmayananda of the Swami Sivananda lineage. Although most of my teachings come from the East Indian lineage, my diverse quests have led me into Buddhist and Native American practices as well. In essence my practices are a blend of these teachings, which are reflected in the book I wrote and published in 2002, Cry of the Hawk For Her Beloved, A Woman's Healing Journey to Higher Consciousness, a work of visionary spiritual fiction (http://seven_directions.tripod.com/). I also teach College English at Miami-Dade College in Miami. An avid follower of Western astrology for decades, I switched entirely to the sidereal ephemeris and the self-study of Jyotish for empirical reasons: when I understood my chart in Jyotish, I knew it was quintessentially " who I was " in the present incarnation (with a Cancer lagna, Sun and 3 planets in Cancer, and a Bharani Moon) as opposed to the Western chart, which would give me a Leo ascendant and a Taurus Moon (which is less true). I include the question I posted on your discussion group April 24 re: Mars- Saturn conjunct April 28 because Mars entering Gemini, then Cancer through August 1, is then followed by Saturn Return, and with Cancer Saturn-Sun 1- degree combust, I'm trying to find out as much as I can about the benefic and malefic nature of this 2 1/2 year transit. Since Mars moves into Gemini April 28, would you say somethng about the Mars-Saturn impact? I imagine you will speak of this in the full weekly report, but I would like to know since in my NT chart Saturn is combust Sun and the Mars-Saturn conjunction will occur both as a transit April 28-June 13 and when Mars enters Cancer June 13-August 1 and conjuncts both NT Saturn and Sun.
