Dear Janna:

 

You're right, Saturn in my, or anyone's 12th house, will not be influencing the 10th House.

 

But, in my chart, the Moon, which is the lord of my 10th House, is also there with Saturn.

 

And Jyotish says, that whenever a planet is influencing any Planet, ...it will send back a mail

to it's home, how it's doing...

 

So, Saturn's functionally malefic influence upon my Moon, meant shyness, sadness, etc. for me, but also retardation and delays...in terms of the Moon's signfications, one of which is it's 10th House, Lordship...

 

Understand, now?

 

 

Just think of each Planet and the Houses that it rules, as having an intimate connection with those Houses.

Mark: Correction to my April 30 post. I see that your Moon and Saturn are in

H-12 with lord Mercury of Virgo; so Saturn would cast a first-house aspect on

your Moon. A clearer question, if possible, is still how Saturn would " aspect "

or influence your 10th house (as I've added your reply below), and this may

be instructional for others learning some of the more subtle aspects of Jyotish

as well. It certainly has been rough gaining clarity through the Mercury station.

I think I finally have got it right and didn't want you to take the time to correct

my April 30 post but have added your reply and mine below for clarification.

Hi mark: When you put your birth data on the list I understood that your 10th

house was Cancer (and I think Saturn is there in Cancer). I mistakenly

thought you had Leo rising (instead of Leo Sun) so did not see how Saturn in

the 12th house could influence the 10th house. I see now that it is Libra rising

and that the lordship of the 10th house is Moon-Cancer. I didn't think the

aspects were counted backwards, but I couldn't figure out how Saturn

influenced H-10 if it was in H-12; now I see it's Saturn's first aspect in your

H-10. But thanks for clarifying. Janna

One way to " see " the outlook is to make an astrological alphabet

and then combine each segment into a whole:

 

1 / Mars / Aries = I, me, mine club conservative self-hood

 

2 /Venus / Taurus = if its mine I'll boast about it.

 

3 /Gemini / Mercury = Mother looking for baby, baby looking for mom

 

4 / Cancer / Moon = Hey! Lookit me!

 

5 / Leo / Sun = If I can just get this to work right

 

6 / Virgo / Mercury = There's got to be someone out there who can help.

 

Now, Sun in 3H Mercury in Cancer. This becomes a combination

of 5 with 3 and 4 OR:

If I can just work things the way I want them to, I'll be able to care

for those I love and the outcome will make me a hero!

 

It's all connected! Play with it. :-[)
