Guest guest
Hi Darshan, Thanks for the compliments, I deeply appreciate them. I will try to explain/answer the question you put to me on the houses signifying mother and father. The 4th house represents the mother. Therefore, if say, a Kapata Yoga exists, which is formed by a strong malefic existing in the 4th, while at the same time, the 4th lord is aspected by a malefic and there is no mitigation by benefics, then we can reasonably assume there to be a good deal of pain and the like concerning the mother in some way. It could be that the mother was ill, or died early, or was very abusive toward the native (think Mommy Dearest), etc. But in some way, such a combination suggests that the native's innate sense of happiness and peace of mind was greatly disturbed in some way in their childhood and formative years, and almost always had something to do with the mother. If, in a male chart, the female factors, the Moon and/or Venus, are also considerably damaged, it could lead that man toward having very negative and strong feelings toward women in general. Take a look at the charts of Charles Manson, or Ted Bundy, and you'll see what I mean. The 4th house represents the Mind, and as such, this house more than any other will give intense clues as to the overall state of mind the native has and is in. Disturbing influences such as Rahu in the 4th, unchecked, can suggest the person needing to get counseling due to lots of pain in some way in their growing up years. Letting go is very difficult, and if they don't address these issues, it can have a disasterous effect on their marital and relationship life later on. Because all planets in Jyotish aspect the houses directly opposite the one in which they are placed, such a disturbing influence in the 4th can have a deliterious effect on the career front as well. Overall, a difficult 4th house usually indicates difficulty of the native to get along with his/her mother. Now, as for the father - the 9th house represents him. And like I said earlier, if the 9th is damaged in some way - let's say it's a Nirbhagya Yoga - it means that the native has trouble listening and obeying the advice of gurus/teachers, will be irreligious, or, will be duped by people putting themselves up as religious teachers. In this society - the USA - this 9th house symbolism can be manifest in the form of teachers, college professors, or anyone whom the native considers to be in a position of authority and enlightenment. Since the father is the first person with whom most of us will experience in our lives in this way, the way he is seen in the chart via the 9th house is very important. I have noticed a great deal, that whenever the 9th lord is in the 8th or 12th, or even to an extent the 6th house, the father either left the home early on in the native's life in someway, or if he was there he was very distant, kinda like in name only. This of course, puts a tremendous strain on the native, because they cannot get what they need in order to navigate life successfully, due to the father's distance. Because of the 9th house's natural link to God and a higher power, this house speaks a great deal to a person's inherent amount of faith and " higher " things. When a person's faith is not very strong, it almost always is due to their having a very weak or in some case, a " destroyed " 9th house, which means that the relationship with the father was less than desirable. In either case, the 4th or the 9th house, when either are afflicted, or both, the answer is psychological counseling, along with spiritual counseling, which the astrologer is uniquely qualified to do, because they are in a position to see things that the psychologist and preacher/imam/rabbi/priest cannot see. Because these two houses are most in importance in a person's life, they are always among the first houses I look to when assessing a chart for analysis in a general way. Hope this answers your questions a bit. Guest guest
Hi Mu'Min: Very nice explanation and i can sort of relate what u mean.. I'm a Cancer Asc. Leo- Venus/ Moon Virgo- Mercury Libra- Rahu/ Sun Pisces- Jupiter ® Aries- Ketu Gemini- Mars I've wonderful parents but had too many problems in my education. Some or other obstacle used to create problems and that used to take me away from studies..I think that is indicated by 4th house rahu and obstructed sun. My mom keeps a pretty good health but suffers from minor problems like cough and cold etc. from time to time. I think in my case its the 9th house that has saved me a lot. , " MuMin Bey " <mumin_bey> wrote: > Hi Darshan, > > Thanks for the compliments, I deeply appreciate them. > > I will try to explain/answer the question you put to me on the houses > signifying mother and father. > > The 4th house represents the mother.
