Dear Anne & Therese, & All:

 

I've made up this really cool, circular chart to use with the Jyotish.

 

Go, to the 'Files' section in our nature's astrology group, and under, " Astronomy & Astrology "

 

there's a sample of a chart, combining the 'circle' with the 'Houses'.....

 

This chart is a chart from May 18, 2003, transit, and at 12 noon, so you'll see the first slice of the pie, is the Risin Sign and count the houses from right to left.... and Sun's in the 10th House,

 

we can make these kinds of drawings for any transit day/time and especially for our charts..

ps The aspects for the Northern & South Indian style Jyotish charts is the same... Let's take Mars which is in Gemini right now. Wherever Gemini is in either charts...

 

The 3rd triangle for the Northern chart, and the 4th square from the top, left to right,...

 

but still the aspects are still forward into the Signs,...so for Mars, count the sign that it's in as 1, then, CAncer is #2, Leo is #3 and Virgo, is #4, so since Mars is supposed to aspect 1, 4, 7 & 8 Houses away.... you count forward.... Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius & Capricorn...

Anne, I never used the square charts, partly for the reason you mentioned.

The aspects are very visible in an equal house circular chart. There's no

reason why Jyotish can't use circular charts. Forget the square charts if

they give you trouble.

I'm sorry I've had to let so many posts on this list go without an answer.

I've been trying to finish up articles and have also spent time at the

dentist. That has left me tired and woozy.
