Bettina,

Thanks for the kind response.

Yea, what you say is true about the 11th and benefics in general.

Malefics in the 11th tend to fare better, but there is a method in

the madness about this as well.

From the Vedic spiritual perspective, the 11th house represents

gains, desires for gain, and carnal desires. Therefore, the very

presence of lusty planets, like Venus, the Moon, even Mars, is not

considered from the spiritual standpoint, when one is attempting to

attain a degree of detachment from such things.

Here in the West, where most people aren't inclined towards such

spirutal questing, the 11th takes on other meanings. One very basic

and common one can be seen in terms of adultery.

If in a chart, a person has strong imbalance between the 11th and

7th houses in their chart - with the 11th getting the upper hand -

it is usually a strong indication of that person being sexually

unsatified with their partner, and is likely to seek out others. Of

course, a strong Jupiter, even a well placed Saturn, can mitigate

against this.

A very easy yet common example of this principle in action is Bill

Clinton.

A careful examination of each house with respect to then grahas is

to be done in order to arrive at the correct assessment of a person

via their chart. The things that are mentioned in the books, even

the classics, are to be taken as guidelines only. Use them

liberally, not literally.

Thanks again.

Salaam,

Mu

Hi Mu'Min:

u have very nicely explained about the effects of 9th house.

Regarding father can u explain if ninth house or tenth house plays a

role in it. If 4th house is bad, does that mean the person doesnt

have good relations with his mother..?

Thanks

Darshan

Hello Mu'Min: Thank you for your explanation of the houses. I have been

finding them very confusing and this helps, although I have everything to learn

yet. It helps, warm wishes, Morgana
